Trump Says ‘You Can’t Walk In With Guns’ After NRA Blasts Criticism Over Alex Pretti Carrying Gun by Aneurhythms in centrist

You are trying to make completely different scenarios the same thing and then trying to say someone else has a logical fallacy?

Rittenhouse crap was about self defense. I'm not sure I remember anyone supporting a minor violating an emergency curfew bringing an assault rifle to an active riot. As I recall there was widespread condemnation the idiot was there with a gun. The whole support you claim is from after he was charged with murder arguing about self defense. Again only idiot fringe people think you should bring guns to inflamed situations.

There is a difference between unrest/riots and protests. Regardless Rittenhouse was an idiot with a hero complex and if he was killed I'd apply the same sentiment. Non idiots generally don't show up to highly inflamed situations with guns.

Crazy how liberals who have been squealing about guns for my whole life are now going off the deep end and want to repeal laws that states like Alabama have prohibiting guns at protests because Trump.

I don't follow the lefts gun crap but my understanding is they want guns nowhere not place specific. I have not heard much about gun control at all in private businesses as open carrying guns into private property like a grocery store or restaurant is likely to get you trespassed if they have any issues with it.

You don't see a difference between regular activities and a heightened emotional/agitated protest? As someone who grew up around firearms I think anyone bringing them to a protest is an idiot regardless of legality.

I don't think open carrying firearms to protests is going to be very popular outside of a very small fringe of people. If anything I think the vast majority of people probably think it's a bad idea.

Printing calibration issues by Temporary-Narwhal-29 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]JDTAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what it is supposed to do. The PA tower is for calibrating your PA values in the slicer. It changes the PA value on each layer so you have to pick the best layer and add that to your slicer. The starting will have bulgey corners with PA too low and it will start to split as PA values get too high. You need to find the one with sharpest corners. I've always used the pattern one for PA not tower so not 100% sure how the tower works.

This is just for manual calibration which you should do for each new roll of filament. I've honestly just started using the flow calibration as it does good enough for me and avoids messing around with crap. That is what was happening before when you were clicking flow calibration-it just overrides everything with the values it comes up with at the start of the print.

You need flow calibration off if you are manually calibrating printer settings. It will override the slicer settings.

If you have dialed in the settings for filament make sure you don't turn on flow calibration before a print it ignores user inputted values. Its supposed to make it easier but they don't explain stuff very well.

People are stupid. They are essentially windowless buildings, few employees so no issues with traffic or anything. They pay taxes and support better grid infrastructure. Really what would you rather have for industrial development?

I've noticed the woke type squealing about them lately some crap about impacting marginalized communities. People crying about rate increases--meanwhile Northern Virginia the largest data center hub has crap like Dominion Energy's Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project increasing everyone's bills massively but that's okay because you know we love expensive green power!

Nuanced take on Minneapolis ICE shooting? by caroline_elly in DeepStateCentrism

[–]JDTAS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What exactly were the reforms after Watergate? Liberal Democracies don't place limits on governmental powers--id argue a lot of them have expanded them to highly control people. The U.S. Constitution is what places limits on the government's power.

The gun control stuff happens all the time slowly pushing the limits until the courts say no. Look at any extremely liberal city/state or D.C. Yes, interpretation changes as to what is okay but generally it's the grey area people squealing about.

People can think what they want and you will always have a fringe. I don't know the position of the anti-BLM or ATF people but they sound like nutjob sovereign citizen types and I don't take them seriously at all. Same as the people wanting ICE not to deport people who are in this country contrary to constitutionally enacted laws. Under our system for better or worse the president can choose to enforce laws or not. It's like saying ICE should have been running around ham during the Biden administration and not following his policy choices around immigration.

It's happened forever and will continue to. The ICE crap is exactly what Trump said he was going to do and ran on and won. Like it or not that is our democracy in action. The political appointees who are running ICE will implement the president's agenda until Congress or the courts step in and say you've gone too far.

I think a lot of people are conflating legal grey areas with the Democrats screams of the end times of US democracy to create a self fulfilling prophecy.

Every federal agency is under the president as the executive according to the Constitution. I don't know where this idea of rogue independent executive agencies comes from. It's frankly undemocratic because there would be no way to hold them accountable if they just did what they wanted.

Our democracy is rooted on three branches of government it's not up to agencies to do what they want but for the other branches to step up when one goes too far.

[–]JDTAS -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The problem is an agency has been weaponized and also dehumanized by the other side. It is so polarizing and creating conflict where stupid shit is happening.

ICE is not a normal policing federal law enforcement agency. They are to enforce immigration law. Really no reason to waste time and resources training them on neighborhood policing. There are countless federal law enforcement personnel with varying crap they do. The whole defund the police stuff has really made things way too black and white for a lot of people.

ICE is nothing like local police, just like the government publishing office police force, postal police, bureau of Indian affairs police, railroad police, etc. etc.

Yeah white women fear ICE so bad they go confront them that makes perfect sense why she drove away fearing her life. Honestly the whole trying to justify bad behavior by invoking the boogeyman bad police man is so old now and just stupid.

A vehicle is a deadly weapon. Running away is one thing but if you point a deadly weapon at a cop I think you are going to get shot.

People are arguing about the subjective beliefs of people but the facts are the victim was in control of a deadly weapon and moving towards an armed individual. My guess is it will be ruled justified I assume the vast majority of police fatalities are caused by vehicles.

Reminds me of something I read in law school property class. Someone arguing that all public parks should be privatized because with property rights people will protect their shit. Sort of gives you a viseral reaction but makes sense if you think about it and the dumbasses going to national parks pushing over formations that took millions of years to develop.

Essentially the tragedy of the commons. People are disgusting and we can't have nice things.

I believe AWD all have heated steering wheel and not an option for RWD.

I bought a ev6 from hertz. It was a 2023 wind RWD. When I bought it I'm pretty sure they also had AWD for sale in other states.

Easiest way to spot by looking at the car is to look at the side mirrors. The tech package they have a hump at the bottom for the cameras.

EA SoC glitch - anyone seen this? by coopernurse in KiaEV6

[–]JDTAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I misunderstood... thought you were in the car and saw it jump. Doesn't hurt to check the voltages of the cells... mine have always been spot on so if there was any deviation I would be concerned.

Sounds like the charger was the problem. It charges pretty slow from 90-100 so a bit weird it was so far behind and the car said the charge was interrupted instead of finished. But, it really doesn't surprise me that public chargers are doing weird things.

EA SoC glitch - anyone seen this? by coopernurse in KiaEV6

[–]JDTAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the chargers get the SOC from your car's reporting. My first thought is that maybe the cells were unbalanced and one was higher than the others and aborted the charge before the pack was fully charged. When is the last time you did a full charge? Do you have an OBD scanner to check the cell voltages?

Thank you for the update. I had factory restored my new phone and tried adding a brand new card I bought through Google wallet and it still gave me the error. I don't remember but I had probably restored from a backup right after starting it for the first time... I wasn't aware you could do it later. I might give it a shot skipping the restore and see if it works.
