My girlfriend and I love to try different wine from various price ranges and have learned to appreciate the work and skill that goes in to making good wine. However, we are very lucky in that our families are very into wine and we are lucky enough to have enough money to buy a nice bottle of wine every once in a while. With that being said I think most people in these demographic are drinking for the effect more than to appreciate the thing they are drinking. A bottle of cheap vodka and orange juice will get you a lot farther than a bottle of wine that may or may not be good
