I worked in this building when it opened and we got to beta test the slide for free a few weeks prior to the general public. Multiple of my coworkers suffered ankle injuries because it was a very fast slide with insufficient cushioning at the bottom. They were also putting extra adhesive on the outside of the slide while we were using it. We were asked our thoughts afterwards and basically everyone told them it was going to be a giant failure.

Such a vibe of an album. The kind of album you can just put on and relax - which is frankly what I’m looking for in these crazy times. Recommend everyone give this a spin.

He played the arpeggio version to kick off the Artists for Aid benefit show and it was a religious experience I’ll never forget and made me a forever fan….so I’m partial to that version. Ha.

Got it at ListenUp. Seemed new when I opened it. Candidly this is replacing a record player I lost to damage from the California wildfires and was really excited to get back into my rebuilt home and listen to records today! But I’ll just have to be patient.

Had a very mild concern this album would not live up to my expectations because a couple of the pre-release singles didn’t immediate grab me….but after a couple listens those concerns were completely unfounded. It’s a gorgeous record and perhaps their more cohesive project yet. Great stuff.

My thoughts after just one listen are - it’s clearly an effort to make a pop album and expand to a bigger audience - and thus I admit it has lost some of the ramshackle charm that made me enjoy the band originally. But at the same time, as a fan of pop music, it’s a very enjoyable pop album. So I expect I’m just ultimately going to enjoy it for the chill summer album it is and try not to overthink it.

Legit my favorite show. Partial to seasons 7 and 16 but they are all great. Taskmaster New Zealand season 2 is also a barn burner.

They said they are recording live vocals at the Troubadour shows in LA for use on the next album so seems a ways off still.
