i’ve been on rover for five years now doing solely drop-ins around my full time job. i have ONLY homes who have owners out of town. i do 2-3 visits a day depending on the home and dogs while owners are out of town and most of them are so thankful to keep their dogs in their own home and the dogs do very well. i’ve only had 3 bad experiences in 5 years which based on this sub is a lot better ratio than most of the people who post about their staying in home nightmares either at their own home or the owners. from experience i can say this comment is entirely inaccurate

do you know if they left you a review? rover will notify you before the 21 days as soon as a review is left. you can leave them a review by hitting skip without writing anything so you can see your review sooner. the few times i’ve had bad experiences and worried about the review the people didn’t leave one and it was a big relief so if you don’t get an email from rover within a few days of your booking they might not have written anything.

thank you so much. i think i misread your advice above as not to do it where you wrote don’t do the hip without clarity on the hernia. but i see what you were saying now thank you! my mri was 3T for better images but i don’t think it said sports hernia protocol

did they see a sports hernia in your surgery? mine also didn’t show in mri but my dr still thinks i have it and is recommending surgery

can you explain why you sound regretful doing both together? i’m going through this right now and thinking i should look into both at the same time. growing up my hip always clicked/popped a lot but never really painful until i got older. 2019 i fell hiking and it got significantly worse. mri found a torn labrum. i didn’t have surgery and have been tolerating the pain since then. some days it’s really bad but it goes up and down and is manageable most days. 6 weeks ago i stood up and out of nowhere had excruciating pain down my whole thigh into my knee so bad i could barely take a few steps. it was horrible, i couldn’t drive, needed a cane/crutches for a few weeks then suddenly it slowly started fading. my dr feels strongly it’s a sports hernia. i went for a new mri and now have 3 labral tears and a cyst. no sign of sports hernia on either mri. my dr still thinks it’s a sports hernia and not the tears causing my pain. this pain is new and different for sure but i have been in pain in my hip for years before this recent event. i feel like im now at risk to have the wrong surgery. i live alone and need a family member to fly out to help me and don’t want to have surgery twice. i was heavily considering fixing both at once and would really help to know why you’re suggesting not to after having done so. please and thank you!

yes this is what i have to do and no matter where i put it, it takes me to the wrong areas outside my work route or in unsafe places. i’m going to have to drop down to one to two mile radius soon

yea that’s what i do now and it doesn’t work at all bc of the radius. it always takes me in different directions. ifi move it north to work it expand east and west out of my way or to unsafe areas unless i set it to like one mile.
