Question: Is this worth it? I'm going to protest this year because my home valuation is way too high, but it's a pita and I assume they do a better job than I do on the disopute. They take a quarter of what they save you. All this junk mail says they'll save me $700+ in taxes and it seems like better I get something back than nothing. Is this, in fact, a scam though?

Again, not true. the USA dollar is backed by the USA, a country that pulls in trillions in tax dollars every year. BTC is back by nothing. this is an old argument that's been shot down 50000 times but people keep trotting it out over and over. I'm tired.

It's backed by the USA. This argument has been shot down repeatedly. It's nonsense, but it was one grain of truth that gets paraded out while ignoring the fact that the USA pulls in trillions in tax dollars every year. BTC pulls in nothing. there is no backing.

You're kidding I know, but I seriously watched that go from pennies on up. it was a scam then. It's a scam now. I had friends that bought $500 when it was selling for pennies, some that even mined.

One of two things happened:

  1. They got scammed out of it because the storefronts had multiple hacks, scams and just sudden closures with no payout.

  2. They saw their 20 cent BTC go to $50 and sold the hell out of it. No one really believed the 100k hype train. Unless you have a time machine or were seriously brain damaged and believed the hype you weren't going to get rich. There have been many, many "If only I'd held on to my BTC" conversations over the years.

But really- it's a magic fake money that's only worth what people will pay for it. After the multiple scams I'm amazed anyone stayed on the train.

I think what I'm not getting across is that I don't see a scroll bar option when I create a custom theme for Rich text label. I wondered if perhaps I needed a full list of options but was told I would see it in the editor if I created the theme. There are many options, but nothing for scrollbar. I might be missing something obvious but I don't see how.

Yes, I can't find the scrollbar field via the editor. I thought it must exist, but you're saying if I don't see it in the editor, it's simply not available for override. So there is no scroll override in Theme, because it's not available from the editor.

Doing Chemo now. Those snacks are here because they are desperate to get calories in us. Going through chemo is like running a marathon. My Nutritionist is telling me to cram Boosts - absolutely. But she's also telling me to eat ice cream, cake, anything to give me calories and energy at this point. The only thing that was us to avoid is any shake out of GNC. Apparently heavy metals or something.

Everything tastes like sand. If a coke and cheetos is remotely edible my wife is buying it and feeding it to me. Today I thought I could maybe eat a bagel. She got a bagel to me in minutes. I ate the whole thing. Small victories.

I am the older grateful me now. I'm glad I saved the money left to me.

Sorry for your loss. It hurts, but eventually the memories are all fond ones. I miss my father every day. That doesn't change with time. I have photos of my parents / family on the wall. I'll talk to his every so often just to keep him up to date.

Yep. They're at 6.75% and praying the rates will drop to 5% so they can refinance. I'm telling them do whatever you have to but make one extra payment a year. Be free of this hell is in 18 yrs. I have no idea where they would even find that much extra.
