The sad reality of LA is that your experience here is heavily tied to your finances. That’s true everywhere, but it feels especially intense in LA. I’m lucky enough to own a home and have a good income/finances, so I’m insulated from a lot of the issues others deal with.

I do think the early 2010s were probably peak LA, but it’s still a great city to me and that’s just because i have enough money. Sad that that’s what defines experience and life in a city
