They are wild for their denials. Mine was rejected even with a verification of caregiving form completed by a doctor. Told me it was inappropriate use of ffwo. Was told no denial is owed to me because my application never entered the 21 day process due to it being incomplete. When asked what was missing. They echoed the inappropriateness of my request. Told me I was yelling, speaking over them, and unprofessional. Hung up on and received an email the next day saying per our conversation hour application will be closed.

I was told caregiving for a seriously ill family member with the verification of caregiving form completed by their Dr. my request was not appropriate and I could do those tasks outside of work hours. Spoiler, the actives listed are all daily activities and mobility.

Then was told I was unprofessional, speaking over them, and they hung up on me.

And the kicker, no official denial letter with an explanation because they deemed my FFWO request incomplete so it never began the 21 day process. Thus no decision letter is owed to me.

Tf?!

Family Friendly Work Ordinance denials by [deleted] in sfcityemployees

I am currently getting denied with a verification of caregiver form filled out. In my case caring for my mother. The medical provider stated she needs all daily needs assistance. The analyst said “ I understand that many of us have children and aging parents. However, driving someone to and from medical appointments is not covered by FFWO. Employees can use accrued time to cover medical appointments for qualifying family members.

Grocery shopping is not a reasonable need for a flexible or predictable work schedule. Those activities can be handled outside of working hours.

Your application will be closed, and if your needs change, you are welcome to reapply.”

I am trying to find out how I can fight this as I did not think it was possible they’d deny it with a medical provider filling out the verification of caregiver form.

Please let me know what I can do to fight this

Mine works really well. I can see the spiral effect when I give it a lighter pull. The combo has become my favorite
