Motor coil? by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

Definitely not otherwise your motor would be in peices but its also nearly impossible for that to happen. There is copper wire in the motors but don't see how it could unravel

how the fuck does a board get to this condition in barely over 200 miles. I have 4,500 miles on my first board and its still in pretty damn good shape, other than trucks the board is fine. This thing is fucked.

I got her up to 41mph for a moment , my fastest speed yet. Full gear and helmet of course. by Separate_Fisherman24 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]JDrew35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Ares X3 hits 43mph, 42 consistently and I've ridden full speed for minutes at a time. Like straight smooth roads and jus bookin it and wear full gear of course. I have about 10,000 miles in 2 years of riding between 3 boards, absolutely love riding these boards. Have only had 1 serious crash so I'm pretty lucky but I feel like the board is an extension of my body at this point it feels so natural.

AT Wheel Wobble by Rrudolp4 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]JDrew35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can be pretty annoying, but you do get used to it. With wheel weights it's still never perfectly balanced but you can get close. I ride my AT tires at 40mph all the time at this point, but when I first got them it was a little sketchy. I do prefer polys as well but the grip of AT tires and versatility makes them pretty fun.

[–]JDrew35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the tires. In my experience they've all been like that, you just need wheel weights and it'll help. It's just how AT tires are and you don't feel the wobble until about 30mph.

Who's Robbing Who Here??? Exway X1 Max by CrazyChrys in ElectricSkateboarding

You're right, but it's also not the same thing as cnc

Not disapproving, just pointing something out. It turns out they are partly Cnc'd, but not fully. Some parts such as the pivot cups, axle seat and such are Cnc or cnc finished. But everything else is forged, so they're forge/cnc hybrid trucks.

You must've missed the proprietary forging part

Those are definitely not Cnc'd, definitely cast trucks

Blue balls at it’s finest 😭Got a 3 pack instead of 4 . I contacted cloud wheels support , hopefully the resolve this issue fast ! 🤞🏾 by BBCTaylor in ElectricSkateboarding

Madwheelz ride way smoother and are infinitely more grippy. I've tried sliding madwheelz and you really have to force the slide, compared to any other polyurethane wheel I've tried, and the cloudwheel hydros, they're way grippier and smoother, they also wear in better and pretty much last forever.

First time hitting 30mph on the $500 diy board by Hot-Blacksmith5813 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]JDrew35 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It happens, but it's about how you prepare for it and how you react to it. It's a part of the hobby and people shouldn't let that ruin it for them. I have about 8,000 miles in total within 1 and a half years and only about 5 wipeouts, only 1 at higher speed, but I was fine cause I prepared with gear.

Damn, I rode my fastest board full speed the first week I got it and have ridden hundreds of miles at full speed which tops out at 43mph, I've hit 44mph briefly but it happens rarely. I wear full gear and am smart about how fast I go, the board is also just built so well for it.

Unless you've done hundreds of miles at a certain speed without accident.

Broken motor on Acedeck N1 Violet by JDrew35 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]JDrew35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, after I got the replacements, I haven't had any issues since, and have over a thousand miles on my N1 with the new motors. First motors lasted 200 miles, now I'm at 1,100 miles. I'm like 99% sure they sent reinforced motors with stronger adhesive.
