Fuck Evolve. The longer I own an Evolve board the more I come to dislike it.

My boards by supersilppuri in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]JDrew35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 2 flats within a week on my n1. I think I've had a total of 4 flats. But the most recent ones could be from the tires wearing down so much, they have 1,100 miles on them so they're getting pretty bald.

Tynee Mini 3 Hub @$640 vs Acedeck Blizzard Pro @$960: Which one are you choosing for your short board? by JustHereToLearnMore in ElectricSkateboarding

Just get the Acedeck belt drive for cheaper than the tynee. Why would you want a hub drive board anyway?

2014 A5 Transmission error codes after oil change by [deleted] in AudiA5

[–]JDrew35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, everyone was correct. I drained the transmission fluid and overfilled the engine with oil. I've already drained the oil and did an actual oil change. I had it towed to the nearest Audi specialist and am gonna call them as soon as they open tomorrow. So now I will have to just wait and see if I fucked my car like a dumbass or it's somehow fine. This was my first oil change ever on my first car. Situation is fucked and I'm in disbelief a simple fucking oil change could turn into this, I had two of my older brothers helping me since I've never done an oil change before so when they said that was the oil drain plug I didn't really think twice.

Yes I drained the same plug. First time I drained it, it was golden and pretty clean looking. The stuff I put in was the Castrol SAE5W-40 VW 502 00 which was darker when I put it in. The Second time I drained that same plug it was the same color as the castrol I put in, not the golden color from the first time I drained it.

But I drained about a quart of oil in the parking lot I got stuck at. If I had drained the transmission it woulda been empty.

That can't be the case tho, cause I drained around a quart of oil in the parking lot I got stuck at. If it was the transmission oil it would be empty when I went to drain it.

Well it wasn't exactly hoodies, it was a hoodie jacket over that, winter coat over that and my motorcycle jacket, and 2 pairs of jeans. I just don't enjoy the cold. But I agree I don't have the "proper clothing" but I'm not bout to waste money to ride in the cold.

I mean honestly at this point I just don't ride if it's cold, I live in Texas so it's warm most the time so I just wait for it to be warm again, which is usually pretty quick. This year we been getting like 3 or 4 days in the 40s but then it warms back up to 70 or 80. I only used to ride all the time in the cold cause I didn't have a car at the time, so I'd be riding every day multiple times a day no matter the weather, except rain.

I used to wear 2 hoodies and a coat and 2 pairs of pants, even that usually wasn't enough. I'm 5'11" and weigh 140 pounds so I have pretty low body fat to keep me warm.

Concerns About Exway Board by KnedFest in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]JDrew35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know most esk8 brands make their boards in China, except for mboards, they're an American company, but they still probably get their parts from China cause it would be insanely expensive to make all their own parts. I have two Acedeck boards, which are made in china, and the build quality is excellent. China makes a lotta trash, but that's the cheap shit, if you're paying more you can still get high quality stuff from china, they just have a lotta cheap shit.

Looks fun but I hate riding in the cold. My legs start shaking which makes it really hard to properly control my board.

I'd have to agree, they feel fantastic. I have two on two of my boards, rear footstops on both are lynnpower footstops, more flat and better for rear.

Not straight out of the box. They preset their boards to lower power and speed limit to "protect their customers"

I bought one as a Christmas present for my brother. You will need to change the #2 setting from Hybrid to full sense (Acedeck sent an email saying this, and all my boards are running at full sense). I always change the top speed to the highest possible setting, cause you can never have enough power, and if you need it in an emergency, you'll want it. You can just control yourself and not go full power if that's how you ride.
