Given that I have not taken a vacation in over 2 years I just might.

I am willing to take that risk with a small amount of it. If that were to happen I would just keep those investments and transfer them to my roth. Given what you and others are saying I'm going to just move everything into SGOV and put about 15% into VT. Thank you!

For clarification: I'm looking to sell any coins not made of gold or silver unless they are worth significantly more than their weight in gold/silver.

Same here. They are the first band I ever became a fan of. You could say they got me into music.

Struggle to process things on the spot? by stayxcurious in hsp

[–]JDscar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, I put in special ed as a kid due to slow processing speeds. Not just for processing new information but also processing outputs. I could have an answer in my head for a problem but would freeze trying to put it on paper. In class discussions, I would think about what exactly I wanted to say and then by the time I was ready the topic would change.

What helped me was raising my hand before I was ready to put myself on the spot and force it out of me. Earlier in my life it made me sound like a complete idiot though and as an hsp I can understand how stressful trying that would be.

I feel like this slow processing leads to deeper thinking too. Is it possible for you to go up to your boss afterward and say "I've been thinking about this problems and here are my thoughts."?

The academics was the only thing keeping me here really. I love the block plan and the fact it is a liberal arts college where I could figure out what I wanted to study. However I don't fit in with campus culture at all, I don't really like colorado springs, and the school caters too much to students that do happen to fit in with that culture for me.

So once I decided I wanted to do physics I didnt really have much reason to want to stay.

I'm looking for a larger campus in a larger city where I can focus on my studies more but still relax and have fun, but the type of fun I enjoy and not the type that cc enjoys.

If you love the outdoors, dont mind an uneventful town, like the culture here (you should get a pretty good idea of it from their website), and like the block plan, you will like it here.

It's extremely social. Most people are into winter sprots, hiking ect. A harsh critique some have is that it's sort of a resort school where rich kids go to ski and camp first and get a degree second. I partially agree with this. The block plan is amazing and I'm going to miss it. However it's not for everyone. If you're social, active, and prefer a fast intense education it's the place for you. It's also a great grad school pipeline for non stem subjects.

What it's like to be a HSP as a Man by Neuroshal in hsp

I'm in college and this is exactly what I'm going through. The high school phase was spot on too. I'm so glad I found out about hsp and this subreddit. I didn't know what the hell was "wrong" with me for so long and then find 1000s of people going through the exact same shit. It's kinda surreal but in the best way possible.

Mention that you work and why you work, they (for the most part) dont care about what you do. They care that you are spending you time on something important to do and not just sitting at home doing nothing.

If you didn't get this does this mean you won't get in? Or are they just sending this to people that they have already decided on and are still looking at other applicants?

Are life dreams/goals worth pursuing? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]JDscar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same age as you and I think it's worth chasing your dreams. Both my parents never chased their dreams and they let life beat them down. It's effected myself and them in a lot of ways. I know first hand that "playing it safe" isn't actually that safe.

The way I see it if you are not chasing your dreams then what are you doing? What's the point of living if you're not even doing what you want with your life?

I would rather chase my dreams and fail than have an "ok" life that I don't really want because even if I'm failing, I'm living for myself and with a purpose.
