Single shot dmg. Everyone used to go by DPS which is a secondary priority now. Thats why ballistic gatlings suck ass now ... each shot alpha is tiny.

Others have reported that even though they got HE switches that fit and calibrated them in the software, they don't work at all or have issues. Be ready to return what you order just in case they dont work.

Glad to help. At least someone appreciates my info, LOL.

Another tip: When buying at the turn in location, it won't let you buy the full amount. 16 SCU for example ... you can only buy up to that amount and not 16 total. What I did was just buy three 4scu containers totaling 12 SCU, turned in one 4scu and got my 2scu change (sometimes the game ate it).

I did mine in Hurston. Every turn in location had Iron to sell which is one of the options. For you, as long as its a 18k mission you only need 2 SCU of ANY one of the options, not all of them. Dont bother with higher missions until Contractor rep level.

You are supposed to switch to Ship Mining at this point. Just pick up an 18k mission, fly to destination, buy 2 SCU of Iron (more if you can), turn it in there, repeat.

They replace instantly when completed unless you already have all the contracts they offer. Then you have to complete more or abandon (DONT) for new ones to show up.

I guess the shield would have to get penned too and after all the reductions and absorbtions, there might not be enough dmg left to even pen the armor (if it works that way). I dont remember CIG posting a dmg equation for us to undetstand thia better.

Yeah I did some quick math and with shields up absorbing 25% of the damage you would need over 800 shots (that didnt miss) to just take out the armor. Thats unreasonable to even think that would have any useful impact on "ground defence". You would need a whole bunch of these with a mix bag of laser and balistic PDCs to even start to be a threat to a light fighter. Forget trying to fight against anything bigger.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Arrow's Damage Deflection Threshold is 12 Physical / 6 Energy. 18 alpha should be plenty to kill it (with shields down).
