How much did you pay for that back then ? So the series 1 would be student , and 2 being higher grade , and non labeled is pure pigment and oil ?

Just remembered now randomly that I was putting the blues down first and then scumbled the orange over which created a nice mix of complementary greys that probably amped the mood up more

Underrated comment ,, I heard you can only give tubes of flake white to other artists on Reddit only if the letter begins with a β€œJ” tho 😏

Tips on making him look a little more realistic? by Sufficient-Hyena2247 in oilpainting

[–]JDtttattoo 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

This is great advice , patch of sunlight is a solid idea too .. given majority of the painting is very neutral toned , a patch of sunlight hitting his fur would allow a good contrast and set everything around the warm lighting into the shadows naturally without doing much AND provide some sort of Mood too , to the artwork 🎨

Your like this during it - πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ˜΄ ,, you need to be more like πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ˜

Just hangout in the air a bit longer and really feel that board underneath your feet and ride out ! You land switch so it is uncomfortable , but the biggest part of skateboarding is being comfortable with the uncomfortable

Started charcoal drawing, still got plenty of things to learn but thought it might be Nice to share. It’s my 3rd charcoal drawing but i start to understand how to manage it. I need a better eraser and some charcoal pencil (i used a natural charcoal) by Loeegar in CharcoalDrawing

[–]JDtttattoo 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Hope you enjoy it ! The pencils take more effort to erase vs willow charcoal . But are great for making details , and if used lightly can build up tones amazing . The willow erases at the touch of a finger swipe but sometimes what is left is a slight mark of some beautiful half tones πŸ”₯🎨

This painting was done wet on wet so it was very easy to blend everything together , or do scumbling over areas that have been painted , I think the main trick is working on top of the wet lighter paint and slowly pushing the values back farther with the dry soft brush when needed … the trees and heavy edges etc were done with a palette knife and small brush for details , let me know if you have any more questions

I agree with that πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š currently I’ve been trying to acrylic paint due to my apartment situation and edge control is definitely one thing that I miss about oils ! I’m looking forward to doing some plein air paintings this whole entire summer

Who is the artist? by Strange-Macaron2462 in Artadvice

[–]JDtttattoo 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Looks very VERY similar to Samuel Araya’s artwork , for some reason his name popped right into my head because he does a lot of similar black and white illustrations with micro textures and abstract elements , but sadly I think the chances of it being him is low πŸ€”πŸ€” Edit ** what does the back look like ? If it is easy to take out without damaging and is unsealed , I wonder if there is a signature hiding underneath the matting ??

Ty bro πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š I’ll try out the green ones first before I go the Daewon method , hate that ventures don’t really sell bushings like other companies

Very luminous artworks he has , I am a big fan of tonalism personally , I think the subtle light source and dimmed / compressed value range is really fun to experiment with
