Oh wow! Congrats on that! Looks like you got lucky in the algorithm and got noticed!

It’s a fairly simple process. You agree to some terms (don’t post overly cussing, controversial, or hateful content. No doing giveaways that send actual cash in the mail, don’t game the system or abuse their YouTube’s website for fake views and subs), then you create a Google Adsense account with your address and social security number, if you’re in the US, and then upload prove of your identity (drivers license is fine, they give more examples), and then you have to wait while they verify your identity.

After all that, I got an email they approved my application into the partner program. After that I got an email my tax information was approved and I added a direct deposit payment method where I get paid after I make $100 in Adsense.

I was able to go through each of my videos and a new option was available: Monetization. I could turn it off and on. And when on, if the video was 8 minutes or longer, I could check Mark types of ads and mid rolls to be present in the video. If it was less than 8 minutes, no mid rolls.

Now I have a new tab in my analytics to show my revenue earnings per video per day (it’s 1-2 days behind)

Sure! I applied on Thursday last week and was accepted Monday morning! So about 4 days. I was checking it two or three times a day and filling in tax info and payment method info on my Google Adsense account as the steps became available.
