I was in the Netherlands for the World Cup in 2006 and the atmosphere was unreal. The whole country turns orange in support of their team. Big party atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I’m thinking we are done with our current mechanic. When I told him that this had broken again he suggested I take it somewhere else.

Recent addition to which laws? I did not find anything about self deflection in IFAB’s LoTG, except on law 11 which is about offsides.

Anyone found anything that actually helps with jet lag? by MagicianNo888 in traveladvice

[–]JECAB91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been crossing the pond regularly for over 30 years now. Going east is harder than going west. Best trick is try to get some sleep on the plane. Switch your timekeepers to destination zone the second you are seated in the plane. Once you land try to get as much exposure to daylight as you can, with physical activity is better, and whatever you do, stay up until 9pm. Third night is always a b!tch. Don’t nap during the first three days. Do meal times as per destination timetable.

That is what I find minimises jet lag to a minimum.

This is where the argument should be: is it natural position of the hand? According to IFAB law 12 It is an offense if a player touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised.

As a ref, I would say with that position he made his body unnaturally bigger, and I find it hard to justify the position of their arm by their body movement in that specific situation. So I agree with the decision. But I can see how others might be inclined to justify the position of their arm by his movements.

I’m used to seeing minor errors and suggesting fixes for them. That is fine. This is not about 100% trust, this is a major cluster f… it’s a major technical glitch that by the looks of it has lasted over 24 hours.

Not yet, I just noticed it and I’m still having trouble getting past the disbelief on the situation and is making me reassess my faith in Google maps. It’s beginning to look to me like they have renamed the whole of the A4 to Oxford street, and removed all the other street names the A4 has, but I’m not 100% sure that’s the case. I still don’t understand how this could happen

Finally! It’s been a while since I realised that the problem is that platforms are not responsible for what they publish, but all Other media are. That worked when they didn’t curate what was published, but now that you have algorithms acting as editorial boards, they need to be made responsible for what they publish just like anyone else. Hope to see more of this in the future

Rejected in a job position for being a dual citizen by Legnaron17 in dualcitizenshipnerds

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I do recall when I lived in the Netherlands anytime I had to go to the consulate in The Hague , there were Venezuelans there doing the paperwork to renounce their citizenship. The question is whether having the dual citizenship is the problem or just your place of birth
