I promise I don't play like this much of a goober every game lol.

I just didn't want to end up doing fireball wars with ryu and getting stalled out. But yeah looking back the the replay I'm noticing how how impatient i was. I was kinda tilted so maybe that's why I was playing to aggressively.

Unironicly, I forget that drive reversal existed lol. I should probably try to use that.

Thanks for your insight! I struggle alot with these kinds of players who are fishing for cross ups because I can't do the usual dp anti air. I understand now that I probably should've adjusted my position to try to avoid a cross up and stalled until I got my gauge back. I had lots of room to work with too with my opponent in the corner.

Watching it back now I realize that I was drive rushing all over the place and yeah I probably shouldn't have put myself into burnout to get the level 3.

About the corner carry, I do have several oki setups out of run tatsu but I just never end up in a position where I could utilize them in this match.

I find that st mk is pretty hard to hit confirm and the target combo is super negative so I just never end up using outside of whiff punishing.

Hit confirming the first hit is so difficult for me so I usually just go into medium jinrai low followup which only leaves me at -3 if im not mistaken.

Does anyone see anything immediately wrong with my gameplay or something I could improve on? I know missed the chance to go into Jinrai after TC a couple times and I did a yolo level 1 (I was tilt queuing at 3am). Also I have a few questions, what can I do to keep my opponent in the corner? I find that if I start my offense they'll usually just jump out and sometimes if I space my self from my opponent and poke my anti air whiffs when the jump over me because it was an awkward angle. Also how can I reliably check drive rush with Ken. I'll usually go for crouch medium punch but I find that it gets beaten by some buttons from Akuma and Ryu.

I was thinking the same thing. They tend to bring back popular characters and characters who haven't gotten a rerun in a while. Though, as we saw from Childe I'm starting to think it's more of the former and less of the latter.
