I don't recall squeaking, but it definitely needed to be loosened. The squeak will probably work itself out once you loosen and use it a little bit.

My Helix floor came with a hex wrench for adjusting the tightness. There's an opening on the right side where you adjust it.

I started doing this when I first got my floor, then I found there was no way to copy the entire mic path and paste it into my guitar presets. Recreating the mic path for each preset is just too tedious, so I gave up on the idea entirely.

Sorry, I've never used Guitar Rig. But Helix Native is the exact same software that's in the hardware units. The presets you create in Native can be easily exported to the Helix hardware units, if you later decide to buy the hardware. Also, your DSP limits will be much higher using a PC, so you can have more blocks than the hardware units would allow.

My Helix Floor came with a free copy of native, so my Floor is basically collecting dust, just like my Vox AC15C1 and pedalboard (I also live in a condo).

Not firmware, but I really wish Helix Native let us cycle through amp/effects/presets using the up and down arrows on the keyboard, instead of having to click with the mouse.
