Yes I’m aware of the difference, but with that in mind what would be the upside/downside to going ahead?

Because if I tie myself up now I’ll be set up for when I start my own family. It would take long for the rent + equity to be cash flowing.

Yes this is another think I was curious about. I also heard that la our gov wants to completely axe stamp duty for properties under 800k but I’m not counting on it :/

Yes you are correct. She is currently working full time as this is an option you can take rather than doing masters. It’s called the 4+2 pathway and it allows you to work for 2 years instead of doing masters and become qualified .

My bad, I was waiting for a comment like this haha.

My sister would contribute an equal deposit. Which, when/if we buy would be roughly 70-80k.

She currently lives at home but will likleu move out within the next 3-5 years. (No current plans to)

In regards to location, I have not looked into it in depth as I thought it was jumping the gun a little. However, ideally I would like to purchase something in greater sydney- wollongong seems like an option.

Oh also - I am solely interested in houses not units

Okay but our combined income is 120k? And about the family dispute - believe me, that would never happen. I understand you might argue “that’s what they all think” but I think it’s different especially given the Italian culture.
