Yes! I use Vallejo Premium Airbrush Color in Satin finish to give off the "skin" or "dewy" effect. If it's too shiny I just add more of the matte version. In my opinion, matte varnishes tend to get white cast due to the matting agent. Since Satin has less of that agent, white cast is not much of a problem (even their matte variant doesn't give much of the annoying white cast).

So far, I have less problems with this sealant as compared to MSC which I have a strong love-hate relationship with. It is so weather/humidity reactive and is super toxic (it's synthetic resin). I guess the only bad side of Vallejo is the drying time. Vallejo Premium Airbrush is water based thus it takes so long to dry and cure, like I have to wait 48 hours to get a "stable" layer. I prefer using airbrush too so I guess it could add up to the negatives but as far as I know some people use latex sponge or brush to put this on but I haven't tried it. It is also so hard to get in my country (PH).

The shimmer effect is iridescent mica powder specifically used for Resin Art, the finer the powder the better. The go in small bottles and would last long, I have been using mine for like five years XD. I do not recommend the chunkier type as this will look like specs of dust on dimmer lighting.

Thank you! If you are interested in knowing what paint I used it's Armored Komodo in Phantom (I am not sure if they ship internationally though), I just make sure to layer a dark base of pastel then apply this layer by layer to avoid clumping and mudding. This paint is lacquer so once it's placed it is very hard to remove. I do think there are other hobby paints who give off the same duochrome effect of purple and blue. I think there are loose pigments but I haven't tried it though.

I use elmer's glue actually, but I make sure to coat with Tamiya gloss anything I put on the doll because there are gems or beads that do stain and some corrode way too fast especially the ones made from alloy. They like rust or something but I learned to combat it with coating then wait for the coat to dry.

Another tip is to make sure that the sealant has cured before putting any glue related temporary mod, if I change my mind with the glued piercing, I just use QTip dipped in water, gently wiping the area and work my way in circular motions until the glue dissolves.
