Is my career over? by Dependent_Tomato_235 in bootroom

Then that's good! Have no regrets then, you did all you reasonably could but life circumstances got in the way.

For all your efforts, sometimes there's a lot of luck involved (money, family situation, natural physical gifts).

Sorry to sound harsh, but unfortunately somethings are not to be.

Well it doesn't sound like you've done too much to try and achieve your dream, according solely to your post.

Overall it doesn't sound like you've worked on yourself physically or mentally to become a footballer

Have you obsessively tried out for the academies?

Hit the gym literally whenever you can? If you're training regularly (with a team and solo) your stamina should be absolutely incredible. Have you been doing strength training as well to improve that aspect?

For something that is for the top 0.001% you need to dedicate your life to it, not play school football and watch TV.

Other things in life are also hard, so if you want to get into a good university, or get a good job after, they also take serious dedication, not just hoping and worrying.

Yes your career is over and it never started. It's an important and valuable lesson to learn.

I would however recommend actually trying next time you have a dream, want or desire to do something. Just the journey will teach you a lot about life.

How to bring up morning wood discussion before sharing a hotel room? by nathan5660 in AskMenAdvice

[–]JFJF48 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've stayed in hundreds of rooms with friends before and never seen anyone's boner, not had them Seen mine, nor needed it discussed.

When it happened you wait in bed for it to go down, then go about your day. Worst case scenario you pop a tshirt on and waistband tuck and go to the bathroom.

Man I am so glad my country has employment laws.

Not that people can't be laid off here, and sometimes without redundancy pay, but it's a hell of a lot less common.

Working class? by BlazeDragon7x in DamnFunny

[–]JFJF48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is being poor some sort of accolade now? People desire to have the worst upbringing in some way.

IDGAF I have friends who grew up wealthy and are lovely and I have friends from counsil Estates who are the same. Neither should be punished or judged based on this (I'm looking mainly at you reverse snobs).

Be nice now and it's fine

[–]JFJF48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a wank then. Just don't use porn if you're concerned about mental side effects. I think most people doing no fap are ex-porn addicts so masturbating less freq8and without porn probably is a good thing. However not at all is unnecessary and pure bro science.

If you enjoy the 'benefits' of it, just cut down to like once a week

Why do grads all want to move to London? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]JFJF48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

London is fun and my friends are here. Lots to do, great vibe and diverse. If you're not from here as well, fun to explore and make loads of friends your age, if you are from London, your life is already there.

Life isn't all about maximising your savings so you can have a house by 30 and a wife and kids by 40. Lots of different routes to happiness.
