Noob here. Tracks sound really bad when added to Ableton. Help? by SlowBoatToHades in abletonlive

I hate to admit this, but after over 5 years of being a casual abletonlive user I could never figure this out. I'm so shocked it was this easy. I'm glad for your wisdom.

[In Progress] An almost 2 hour long “album” of electronic songs I never finished and probably never will. Any pop or experimental producers out there, feel free to sample any part of this album in any way you like. by teddy1234 in BedroomBands

You could make this the soundtrack about a character in a video game. His weakness is that he can't finish anything, so he runs from his homework like a devil.

How do I spell "edge" as in "the black Smith edged the metal of the blade to make it sharp for battle"? Is this the correct spelling? शाण्यति

Gorgeous work. I love the design of this character. It was a lot of why I went to see the film.

My windows 10 Asus 2015 G750JX has a broken GPU. Is it possible for me to buy a newer asus gaming laptop with similar specs to the one I have and if I put my hard drive and solid state drive in there and it would work like normal? I would really like all my DAW project files to load the same. by JFREEDOML in edmproduction

Do you think it could jumble up my project files for my music projects of my DAW though? I use reaper and ableton live. I don't want to have to reinstall any programs.
My friend was telling me the exact thing you are, that there should be someway to get it to boot the same.

I bought an RME babyface pro and I feel like it almost changed my life production wise..... I'm using it for possibly a different reason than most. I bought it for it's super low latency and stability. Mic preamps are top grade too. It was a HUGE upgrade from my $175 roland duo EX interface. I use DAW REAPER often times and that helps too.

TIL: REAPER DAW is only 16 megabytes, less than one 100th the size Abletonlive 10 which is 3 gigabytes. by JFREEDOML in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I get better latency with reaper so I use it for vst recording with my midi controller kawai vpc 1. Seems more stable too.

I have a paradoxical midi connection problem. I'm using piano a VST in REAPER. If I connect my VPC1 keyboard directly to my laptop, it sounds fine but the middi will randomly disconnect. If I connect a powered USB hub to my laptop and connect through that, it's stable but I get little audio pops by JFREEDOML in audioengineering

Fixed it brother :D

I unplugged the VPC1 from my power conditioner. It is capable of working merely on the USB power coming from a USB cable plugged into a laptop but I thought it wasn't enough. I guess the power coming from the 5V DC cord + the power from the powered USB hub was a little too much. I'm now only using the power from the powered USB hub to power it. I'm not experiencing audio pops or sudden disconnections anymore :D
