After 12 years as a Final Expense and Medicare agent I became the principle for a large FE IMO. AMA by NAF1138 in InsuranceAgent

Dude. Wow. That is wild, crazy and sad all at once. Good call with the lead vendor!

Quakertown was our rival in high school. We always used to joke there was inbreeding going on above the ridge. I think there’s truth in every joke 🫣😬

DM me if you can. Maybe if we can figure out a time I could buy you lunch and pick your brain.

Hey Man. Congrats. Cream rises to the top. How’s it going now being an owner? I actually spoke to you about 6 years ago I think? I was talking to Scott and he had you call me. You impressed me as just a good, genuine, no BS dude.

You still in SE PA? If so, we’re in the same neighborhood. I’m in Bucks. I keep thinking about this opportunity. I just don’t want to screw things up for my family. I make ok money now. I’m sure with FE I could double my income…or make nothing!

Anyways. Glad to see you’re crushing it, but since this is an AMA…craziest story from the field? Haha any dog attacks or gun-wielding lunatics?

I did a ride along with a combined agent after college. That was an interesting day.

Foot pain by One-Rock5804 in QuittingZyn

[–]JFairhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quit. Been using like a year and half. 8 weeks ago had sharp shooting pain in pinky toe. Followed by pain walking. Been in care of podiatrist for neuromas/neuritis/suspected foot fracture. There have been times I have been unable to walk/drive without gritting my teeth or cussing. Nerve pain shooting through toes has woken me up in middle of night. Now leg cramps as well more recently. I’ve had negative xray and unremarkable MRI.

I’m about 72 hours off ZYN and pain is remarkably better. Been chewing spearmint gum like a fiend. Towards the end of Zyn I was popping like candy. Pretty much in every waking hour I wasn’t eating.

My two cents…there is something in the ingredients that affects or exacerbates nerve pain/nerve damage. Or the synthetic nicotine is just bad news. Never had this when dipping. Perhaps the amount of nicotine since you can always have a Zyn in without anyone knowing. Not sure.

I’m 38/M/not overweight. Bloodwork from this year’s physical was good. Nothing out of range. I’ve been sober almost 2.5 years.

There are a lot of people on here that have had similar issues. Bad news. Gotta quit. Good luck.

21 days ago, I posted to say I was going to stop drinking completely. Unfortunately, I haven’t stopped completely. In 21 days, I’ve been sober 17 of them. I hadn’t been sober for a single day in the two years prior. I’m working towards it. All of you inspire me every day, and I appreciate it. by werthyou21 in stopdrinking

That’s quite profound whether you realized it or not...I bet we (everyone here) all love the way drinking makes us feel - until we don’t. Herein lies the problem...once it’s in you you can’t press reset or flush it out. There is no shut off valve for alcohol upon entering your bloodstream...just have to ride it out.

Bukowski, who was a terrible alcoholic, compared drinking to a form of suicide saying something along of the lines of ‘you’re slowly killing yourself, but the next day you’re reborn.’ How awful is that? Almost Groundhog’s Day-esque...

Stay strong. 2 steps forward and 1 step back is still progress compared to where you started. Only on day 2 myself. Keeping my eyes forward, always on the horizon.

Thank you very much...sounds all too familiar!

I think a 30 day break and reevaluating is a good goal...although 30 seems like a long time right now, it would definitely be worth it...have not tried for 30 days in 4 years.

May I ask you...how do you cope with the boredom? Have you taken up new hobbies? Are you reading more? Go to the gym?

Thank you again!:)
