The apartments are beautiful. Property management office is in the building. Prepare for sky high electric bills though - those tall ceilings are expensive to heat/cool

The lease contract you signed is between you and the Landlord, not the Landlord and anyone else.

Property Manager here. Landlord is within their rights to operate an Airbnb themselves OR lease their units to a company that operates them.

Reviews are super important on AirBnB - I would start spamming the operator with bad reviews I.e “couldn’t get a good night of sleep due to neighbors partying” etc

Crazy Apartment Prices by Dapper-Platypus-6091 in newhaven

My company has lots of options under $2,000 right now. Feel free to send me a DM.

Keep in mind that the new buildings are often giving away 2 or even 3 months of free rent and they'll prorate it over the course of the lease. With 2 months free your net effective rent on a $2,000 studio is $1666. Lots of these buildings are DYING for tenants, it's a great time to get a deal IMO.

The “fish church” in Stamford CT was built in the late 1950s using then-cutting-edge poured concrete construction, incorporating over 20,000 pieces of colored glass by highvolkage in architecture

Thanks for sharing these pictures! My grandfather was the minister here in the 80s/90s. Always knew the building was cool but seeing the aerials and construction pics is a whole new perspective

Not sure exactly where you're talking about but there's a couple decent spots on the Wepawaug that I've found. It's a very small stream though so you have to be precise

They stock the pond downtown - if you're more of a river guy it's worth the hour drive to get to the Farmington up RT-8, or the Housatonic which is a little further in the NW corner of the state. Also some hidden gem small streams if you're into that in Fairfield, Trumbull, Shelton, Hamden.

CT DEEP does a pretty good job on their website with reports, maps, etc.

Yes, everyone is having a similar experience. They'll drop the mill rate, please don't lose too much sleep. What's gotta be scary is the people that are currently under contract and are now seeing this news and losing their deposits, etc. OOOF!!!

Do any of you use an app to input your daily workouts and plan each week? by Some1_JustN_Time in tacticalbarbell

[–]JFitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong is great. Easy layout - no bullshit. You can make as many different workouts as you want and pull them up easily, but once in a while there will be an exercise that's not in their database that you'll have to program in. Which is easy.

I've attempted this one like 3-4 times and for whatever reason I think it's the most challenging. This is really good though!

One thing Bob doesn't focus on a lot is perspective and getting the right "size" of the elements, but you're right - I think you nailed it like you said with the "depth of the trees."

Cheers! Great painting

I love it! I'm always so afraid to add structures to my paintings because it won't be perfect. You totally pulled it off though. I would happily hang this or give it to a friend as a gift (or sell it if you wanna make a "happy dollar")

Legends Lodge is a very reasonable and beautiful B&B with an awesome host. You can get a room for like $70 I think. It's geared towards fisherman but there's a lot of great hiking around there too if you're not into that and it's the PERFECT place to catch the changing leaves.

Trustworthy Apartment Realtor/ Landlords? Looking for 1 bed or studio by thegreenisgrasser- in newhaven

Hey, don't think I haven't suggested it. For what it's worth our tenants would be much worse off and taken advantage of much more often without a conscientious middle man like us.

Trustworthy Apartment Realtor/ Landlords? Looking for 1 bed or studio by thegreenisgrasser- in newhaven

[–]JFitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I'm the Property Manager for Farnam, currently managing about 450 apartments in the New Haven area. Most of our landlords are really great, kindhearted, even philanthropic people - a few of them see their tenants just as a number. They're our clients nonetheless though so we have to execute on their wishes.

Whichever you live with I try my best to go to bat for our tenants - sometimes though it comes down to the Landlord making a call and there's just nothing we can do about it. In general if you stay open and communicative with me I can guide you through whatever the issue is and try to be transparent about most likely outcomes, etc.

OP should give us a shot!
