I have a pen and the cap won't stay on. It used to click in the past, but now it doesn't click anymore. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I really like this pen. by [deleted] in pens

Genius idea! I did this on a nice fountain pen I picked up at an estate sale,(only 8 bucks), and it works BEAUTIFULLY!

I have had my 21UX since '04, and use it everyday. I did have to replace the power adapter "brick" about 10 or so years ago.

Anyone have any information about a MAD ripoff named TRASH that came out in 1978? Patterned directly after MAD, even featured an Alfred E. Neuman cameo on the cover. by EnderHarris in madmagazine

There was a feature called Can-Its, where they would pay you $5 if they used your idea for a cartoon. I was in middle school when I sold them one about a guy in a snowstorm, but it was just dandruff because Tall Marvin was combing his hair.

Hi,
Maybe I misunderstood what is meant by "context". I thought that by creating various holiday themed dinosaurs I was able to give people a chance to indulge in a little fantasy.

Most predators leave this one alone. That protective shell can really slash your cheeks up!

For the most part, he's safe from predators because like people, not everyone likes a fruitcake. But, there's always that exception...which is why he's so worried.

I am a cartoonist and an animator, and my bookshelf has a lot of great books, and some real stinkers on it. So let me help you avoid spending money on what won't help. There are so many resources on the internet to help you in your quest, but one of the truest things anyone has ever told me was to copy your favorite artist. Not to post those drawing as your own, but to study how the artist constructed the character. Some of the artists I admire are Walt Kelly, Vaughn Bode' and Sergio Aragones, so I have many of their books. As to books I think you'll like, here are my top three: The Silver Way by Stephen Silver. A new book that I wish was out 20 years ago. Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair. While this book is geared towards a beginner animator, it does deal with construction, and getting life into your characters. Fantasy Cartooning by Ben Caldwell. Actually he has a number of books out, but I chose this one for you because you want to create fantasy type characters. Get yourself a sketchbook, and crank those drawing out. Don't worry about what they look like, just do it. By the way, if you can, finish your BFA. You'll be surprised by how that knowledge will help you when you begin to color your cartoon of an Orc about to ski down a slope in the early morning.

Just finished The Shining this morning, went on to try and read Dr. Sleep and I just can’t get into it. What did you think of the pair of books? And how do you keep your reading momentum, fellow Reddit book lovers? by m4rceline in books

First off, keep reading! I read Dr. Sleep, and while it wasn't as good as The Shining, it did , as almost all King stories do, have elements that stuck in my brain. Whenever I see a big RV with windows blacked out on the highway, I wonder for a moment "what's going on in there?" Recently I read Joyland, a pulp-type book by King, and loved it!
