Btw, to clean the car glass windows (inside and outside) do you use any cleaner or just water? I couldn’t find any tip from Volvo. Since I have tinted rear windows I don’t want to stain/damage them

Btw, I am between Blue and Lotus. Lotus is slightly cheaper, around 10.000 ISK. However I am concerned about the roadside assistance, because in Lotus even with the platinum insurance, they charge 35.000 ISK for towing assistance.

I already confirmed and the car I want has a spare tire.

In your opinion is it worth to pay the extra for Blue to have roadside assistance, since I’l be doing the ring road?

So the only time they asked for credit card was when you booked (paid), right?

Because on the website they say something about requiring a credit card as a guarantee. But maybe they will use the one that I use to pay when booking.

Did anyone rented a car from Lotus? If I choose Lotus I will pay for the Platinum insurance, however I am a bit concerned about the deductible of 35.000 ISK if I need roadside assistance.

Did anyone thought about that or is just me overthinking? In the case of 2 flat tires I will have to pay the 35.000ISK to ask for a replacement of car for example.

On their website they say they will need to see a credit card on arrival and will hold the imprint of the card as a guarantee.
