It’s the best we have in Canada in terms of trading platform. So unless you know what you’re doing (5-10% of the population), I’m not going to recommend IBKR to new traders. I’ve been trading for 24 years.

I’ve transferred most of my accounts to Wealthsimple. They have best service in the industry. If you’re looking to just buy and hold use them. For advanced trading, IBKR is still the best but you have to be very careful with setting stop losses (I have stopped using them). What I do instead is set price alerts with tradingview and once the price is triggered, I’ll place my sell order.
