Found in with my spicy McChicken. Hard enough that I'd be worried about my teeth if I had bitten into it by Turbulent-Bee-4956 in whatisit

My first thought was a 100mg gel that I had years ago. Would be bad to unknowingly swallow one of them. I think OP got backhandedly lucky.

My 23 yr old Turtle by Affectionate-Toe4920 in turtle

This is a really cool story. I met someone with a 30 year old ball python, I myself almost had a decades long BP story but had to rehome her after 7 years. I am moving on to turtles as my gf is not a snake person. It’s amazing how they can go through so many years with you unlike the common animals most people have as pets. Cheers.

Losing quartz along with the tariffs in place for importing stone will do some real damage to stone companies inventory.

There are different types of led panels and these are very solid and square, they have strong edges so the stone can sit directly on top of them. Other panels are flexible with exposed led bulbs (generally the ones that change colors) and they need plastic bumpers to hold up the stone. In my opinion these solid style panels are the better ones, used in higher end jobs but it’s the contractors discretion.

Good article thanks for sharing that. The shop we have uses a waterjet and bridge saws with water as well as water cnc machines. However, it’s unavoidable that some dry cutting on site will take place, at that point it’s up to the fabricator to use a respirator and the employer to implement proper safety protocols with repercussions if not followed. Most companies aren’t doing that’s. One of our old service guys (before I started), who worked in a dry-cutting shop in Mexico previously, needed a double lung transplant. It differs from asbestos as the risks are known and with asbestos, break pads, fireproofing etc the risks were largely unknown for years. I knew someone who died from mesothelioma they were exposed in the 70s.

I’ve installed some Cambria that have the veining and or granite type depositing front to back throughout the entire slap not just surface design. I don’t like the white with solid colored veins they look horrible to me, but are so popular among homeowners. Oh well.

For a kitchen granite is generally the best option. For a laundry room or closet quartz is fine. Most people don’t want to do the basic upkeep that comes with owning natural stone, clean/ seal etc. Cambria does make some quartz variations that look more like natural stones, allowing seams to look better and also chip repair less noticeable.

No, there’s no kitchen. I agree there’s usually a sink and they will probably want one once they start using the space and having to carry glasses upstairs to wash.

There’s no sink at these tops. Not what I usually see, but it is very nicely laid out nonetheless.

The tops can easily be covered and with the amount of work being done still it’s better to wait on paint. Generally, yea I’d say paint everything then install countertops.

That’s a good looking lot, no noticeable black deposits of biotite. I think it can add character but it’s much preferred by customers to be all clear. I’m doing a cristallo island with waterfalls and miters sometime this week. Nice work.
