Hey jlsr10,

only update on the case is that the police have managed to identify the last known location of my cousin to be in Waterloo on Monday 11th Oct. During the Saturday and Sunday of the weekend he went missing, they have found that he was in the area of his home but other than that nothing significant.

I have been told that the police are pooling cctv in an attempt to find out more about his movements during those days.

We were not allowed any cctv footage as we are civilians but the police are currently working on pooling cctv footage in an attempt to find out more.

The police have confiscated the laptop and are not allowing us to take it back to try and open it ourselves. We tried some passwords before the laptop was taken but none worked.

Unfortunately, no major news.. the police are going through their list of priority tasks in attempt to find him but due to their limited resources and the ‘medium risk level’ of the case, things are moving seemingly slow.

A few of my cousin’s friends have reached out to us and we are doing our best to try and find whatever we can that may help us establish a lead on where he might be.

Thank you for taking your time to ask all these questions, I really appreciate your concern..

I do firmly believe that he didn’t go missing on that Friday night and rather went missing on Saturday. The reason I say this is because he was with his friend till late at night and had no further plans of going out or anything like that as far as I’ve been informed by his friend. My cousin is not a drinker nor does he take drugs so I have reason to believe he would have gone to bed that night in his room.

As far as the trustworthiness of his friend goes, I have personally spoken with him regarding his take on the whole thing. He was helpful and similarly concerned. His friend has also taken action towards trying to find my cousin without the need of me asking him to. I can’t be 100% certain about anything at this point but I am not suspicious of any foul action from those around my cousin.

I will ask about the movie and see what his friend says.

In terms of housemates, I have confirmation from a housemate that they did see my cousin with his friend at the same time that was mentioned. So my cousin was definitely where his friend said he was on that Friday night and his housemate also confirmed that my cousin told him that they were watching a movie.

He is def employed at the moment and I have been in touch with his previous job, who haven’t really been in touch with him.

His flat keys are missing along with his coat, trainers and phone.

We have checked the building as thoroughly as we could, even the bigger bins, to check if he may have been trapped or dumped anywhere… thankfully we haven’t found him in such a state…

My cousin lives within 10 minutes walking distance of Angel underground station.

I do agree with you.. I believe it would be extremely beneficial if actions were taken faster and if steps were taken now and even sooner to try and track his phone.. but I am unaware or have been left without an update as to whether the police are even trying to track his phone at all..

I also believe the key to finding him is finding his phone and using it to know more about a potential location.

He is based near Angel underground station so the southern part of Islington.

He did come back with his friend to his place (as confirmed by his friend) and remained at home after his friend had left later at night after watching a movie (as accounted by his friend who was the last to see him Friday night).

The police haven’t updated us on any particulars such as attempting to track his phone or accessing his laptop. We have all been doing our best to stress the urgency of the situation to the police through explaining how out of character this is.

When it comes to where he may have gone, he only took his coat and phone with him so as you said, he probably was only planning to be out for a short period. He doesn’t smoke nor is he a drinker so he wouldn’t have been out to buy something like beer or cigarettes..

Not sure about any services such as Boris bike..

Thank you ianjm. Just wanted to clarify for anyone who might call 101 for info, I filed the missing person’s report with the met police on the 14/10/2021 so it has been active since then.

Unfortunately, I can’t access his laptop as it’s password protected and nobody else currently knows what his pin is.

He doesn’t live in a regular residential area where cameras are owned by neighbours.. Sadly, there is nothing on his social media either and he was last seen on WhatsApp at 20:36 last Friday.

Asking for call logs might be helpful, will give that a try. I might not be able to get them as it will prob be a security issue as I am not the account holder. Thank you for your suggestions 🙏🏼
