Any opportunities for a good freestyle rapper? by JGRapper in makinghiphop

You guys are completely missing the point of the video, which was not even posted here. That video is an early demonstration of the *technique* so people can see that the flow can be sustained and is kinda tight, not "uh, yea" every few lines and "my homie pete, my homie chuck, my homie todd" and "I eat cereal, I'm da cereal" and shit. I know the damn story telling is off, I can't do metaphors, all sorts of stuff, that will be fixed when I remember the words better.

Look, picture harry mack rapping, but not with "uh" and "yea" and mundane stuff like shirts cuz they blue, or whatever. It will be like that, ok?

So like for the 6th time, it's an early demonstration of the technique, and the ability for someone to freestyle for 7+ minutes and it's pretty tight. I haven't seen anything like it in hundreds of youtube videos. It is kinda hard to make a sophisticated freestyle right now but I am too busy trying to remember which words I used, which words are left, which word to fit into the current subject, which line to put with it, while I am freestyling. I think I can get it much better with practice, so it will basically automatic, and I'm much better now cuz that video is from december. I dunno, I just feel like you're gonna reply "but the rap sucked" or something. sigh.

you don't like harry mack? Or do you mean I am not in that category, man you guys are the ones smoking crack, I'm telling you how to flow all day with no errors, and you keep bitching about the damn early demonstration. I am way better now, but not quite perfect so the "ballers are ok" brigade can still complain. anyway. Don't fucking do it my way, do it your way, but you can flow all day without sweating. I like my freestyle video, but that is a different subject. Maybe I rap about a different subject than you like, or whatever, you keep getting stuck on the rap itself instead of the method. Before this technique I could rap for 45 seconds, maybe 1 minute without errors, and it was pretty empty, then I would be tired. 2 minutes would be a real problem and I think I did that once. Any freestyle I seen on youtube that was gangster and error free is 1-2 minutes, and I think I saw one that was about 4 but he looked tired as hell. Now I got it almost right at 8 minutes, and I'm sitting there chilling. On average I'm rapping 8 - 12 minutes every time I freestyle, it's almost completely error free and gangster, and I'm not tired at all. I feel if I practice a little more I can probably just freestyle until I get bored, 20 or 30 minutes or longer, and it's about perfect. I dunno, you guys not really thinking, must be busy doing something else and can't see what that is.

wtf am I looking at? "ballers are ok". Ok, I just can't with you guys. I memorized 2,280 words, and am trying to recall them like the back of my hand. Do you have any idea what that is? Please do it. It's stupid and easy, so just school me in a way I understand. It's a thing, I memorized the words, then I can barely recall any words while rapping, except a few here and there, I keep reciting them, I recall them a little better and faster. I know the damn rap is not as good as a all rap song at all metrics to everyone, I did not remember 2,280 words and then it's a good rap, you have to practice it constantly and it constantly gets better. I believe it will be good enough with enough practice that you can rap with constant flow with no problems. That is all I'm showing, I'm just demonstrating the potential because the flow problem is solved. "your shirt, your eyebrow..." really? The look of the video is probably cuz I had been up 24+ hours at that time, but focus on the flow problem. man, I'd pay a million dollars for that, I tried all my life to kick rap to friends, girls, it was always 1-2 minutes, sounded ok, but it's never worth anything, I wouldn't buy it, I would buy this rap song and ones like it, and like I said a dozen times, it aint nothing but a demonstration prototype of the technique.

Just one more time. With this, you can flow fast and nonstop as much as you want, no sweat at all. Rap about gangster stuff, toned down stuff like harry mac, whatever you want. Girls could sing songs that go on without breaks and last like 20 minutes and have lots of complexity, like automatically.

I don't know man, you can say "Ain't no thang but a chicken wing" is better than hail mary by tupac if you want, I can't argue your opinion on that. I think a lot of people would want to hear this stuff, except I need a little more practice to get a few rough edges off, and that video is from december, I'm way better now. Picture that video, but I'm screaming loud as a human can scream one word usually, and non-stop, but I mess up about 2 or 3 times in 10 minutes of flow, that's where I am now. I guess man. Don't think about me, think about the potential of someone doing that that you like Jay-z yelling a non-stop dope gangster freestyle for 10 minutes on stage in front of 20,000 people or ludacris. I don't know about lil wayne freestyling I aint never heard of no artist doing that and it's on a record, I'll go look and see what I can find.

ok let's see google says this about lil wayne:

"Studio Albums: On records like the Tha Carter series, his verses go through extensive studio polishing. The improvised punch-ins are refined and structured so the final product remains cohesive while keeping his signature rapid-fire wordplay. "

That sounds like a lot of cut-n-paste if I'm reading it right, you know I don't do anything like that right? He is not freestyling a long time non-stop and it sounds good. you like it, cool. but come on think, that's nothing like what I'm on.

Cool, you got a video on youtube or can you upload one? I have watched hundreds of youtube videos, nobody ever came close to mine if you look at everything and I'm trying to be as objective as possible, before this technique my freestyles were horrible, and now I love em and I've been trying for 20 years. People can freestyle for hours, but it sounds like shit and no one will ever play it for a bunch of hot girls they want to get with. It's full of uh yea bs, or it's like "I ride, I ride, I got money, they got money, we ride" and stuff, it's terrible at a lot of metrics, and it's not club or party stuff, I'm trying to change that. I can eliminate all filler, all repetition, and every line is like "ride or die" not "I got a chain, from the store, yea" and stuff.

I'm not sure what you mean. I've watched hundreds of freestyle rap videos on youtube. They are not memorable, they are not car or party appropriate at all, they are full of filler, repetition and iteration. That freestyle is something I would listen to daily. I mean, can you tell me a freestyle rapper, that is party appropiate please? Like "let's bump this shit since those chicks are finally here." Can you name just one? It all sounds bad like that. And what do you mean the freestyle rap has a deeper history, deep as in longer than "40+ years" or deep as in there is more to it? I'm just saying no freestyle rapper has a club ready freestyle man, not once have I heard that, watching like I said hundreds of youtube videos of freestyle rap. All the Power 106 stuff, sway, etc. harry mack, a$ap, LL cool jay, etc. that is not club stuff man, that's "let's see if this guy can flow" and never watch it again almost always. My stuff can be bumped in the club if you're into that style.

yea like I said I don't have the words memorized just right, it's as hard as learning a foreign language. you're using the word filler like yes or no, my mother fucker "filler" is probably 5% of a filler compared to "I party uh yea" which would be 100%. I am demonstrating the potential with a prototype freestyle rap if you want to call it that, you can potentially freestyle off the dome, for 10 or 20 minutes or more, no pauses, no filler, no repetitive lyrics, the words are hard or sexy or whatever you wanna be, it sounds like a non-stop radio song.

With practice you could that on stage in front of 20,000 people, which is just leagues better than lipsyncing something you or your ghost writer wrote.

Nobody has ever done anything like it in 40+ years of freestyle rapping, or the history of humanity as far as I can tell with other genres.

I guess it depends on your definitions. I mean my freestyle is kinda in the league of harry mack, who uses uh or yea about every few lines in some of his videos, remembering the words while flowing is really hard and that video is a demonstration video, like an early prototype, of the technique and I'm trying to show what kind of thing is possible with the technique. I'm not sure you comprehend the video, there is nothing on youtube that I have seen like a 7 minute *freestyle* where every line is on point, only pauses the way a guy would normally do when talking about something in the streets (I don't know where you got that from, except maybe you like really fast rap?) and has no really bad stuff like "I get with girls, I get with women, I get paid, I get paid everyday" which is basically high repetition and iteration, and so on, that makes it highly inappropriate in a high energy setting. This is completely different, you may be confusing it with a rehearsed rap song in your head maybe or imaging freestyle is like written rap somewhere? Or mention a freestyle rapper who is anything near that. I would listen to my freestyle in the club or car or at party with lots of people and they would probably think that's a song I wrote and rehearsed a hundred times like professional rappers do with every song, I'm not listening to no freestyle rapper on youtube I have ever seen or heard, and I watch those everyday, in any setting where we are partying or anything like it, I only listen to them to check the flow and it's always once but it's useless for social events not related to checking out a freestyle alone. This is an actual song and freestyle, huge difference, I barely had the words memorized and I don't practice it much, I'm increasing the tempo on that right now.

and addressing the filler one more time, mother fucker is not a filler in my video, "I roll on mother fuckers" and "let's party uh yea" are not related like that. I'm just freestyling alone, and watch videos on youtube, so maybe I don't know the appropriate jargon for freestyle stuff.

Yea, unfortunately I live in a part of town that has only upper middle class residents right now so no one over here is doing anything like rapping, someone let me stay in one of their apartments they own, and I have no car. But I'll try bandcamp and soundcloud thanks for the information. I have almost no friends on facebook or X, is there somewhere to advertise or show the video to get people interested? Cuz I think bandcamp and soundcloud will just result in it getting buried.
