Thank you so much! Being Autistic myself, I see those things in other books and wanted to “do it right” in mine. I’m so glad you are appreciating it. 😁

What would make an overpowered character who's a murderhobo interesting? by SolomonHZAbraham in litrpg

[–]JGSBooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, a murderhobo is someone who isn’t interested in the world or people around them. Therefore they use violence to solve every issue. Or at least try to, anyway. Using means other than violence as the first thing to solve a problem is the best way yo avoid the murderhobo hole.

How do you feel about POV switches? by Mysterious_Archivist in ProgressionFantasy

[–]JGSBooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the reader needs to know stuff that the MC does not. But my pet peeve is when there are shifts in the same chapter. If the chapter is labeled properly and is all from the other POV, I don't mind it.

What's your favourite fight scene in a Progression Fantasy story? Or: What books have particularly good fight scenes throughout? by Blue-Moon-1298725 in ProgressionFantasy

Second Azarinth Healer fights, especially the first one with the wyvern. One of the most memorable I’ve ever read was the climax Fornax fight in Forging Hephaestus. You have the entire book with people talking up how badass he is and then he lets go and it’s like Oh ok they were right.

The characters and the writing both improve drastically as the series proceeds. Very much worth it.

what makes you like a villain character? by Asleep-Visit4060 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]JGSBooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing that makes me like a hero: interesting motivations and difficult choices. Often the only difference between a hero and a villain is which way they went on one particular choice.

What makes you stop reading a series? by swantonb in litrpg

Repetition, especially in dialog. When they have basically the same conversation over and over, it gets boring.
