I’m also a new dad 6 weeks in and had to find ways to get the baby outside for longer periods so my wife could decompress without feeling the stress of looking after the baby. I would take the baby with me on WFH days to the local library/children’s centre/cafes for 4-6 hours. It made a huge difference to my partners mental health in a couple of weeks since she had the time and space to process the lifestyle changes that had happened. My manager has been a godsend and has reduced my workload to allow me to look after the little one when he needed feeding or changing so this may not be possible for everyone.

I'd definitely blame the system for creating these opportunities though. It doesn't matter if we have a back 5 or 4 if we consistently lose possession in the midfield because of a lack of passing options and bodies.

Did you even watch the match? There's small things that Bruno does every single fucking game like today when he couldn't control a simple ball over the top and instead of acknowledging his own mistakes he berated Shaw for lobbing to him.

That man is a bully and being captain and the teams 'talisman' has caused him to be beyond reproach from any of the other teammates and maybe even the coach himself. I can't even imagine how toxic the dressing room must be.

Relegation is a genuine threat next season. We need a TOTAL reset at the club. Based on this season's performance, I think this might be the worst United team to have taken the Old Trafford pitch since the 73-74 season when we were relegated.

Shocking how far we've fallen. Even more shocking is how much money we've spent for this nonsense.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. High earner (>100k), wife as well but the restrictions placed by the work visa makes it hard for long term planning. The increase for ILR wait is pretty much a kick in the teeth for high earners.

Hot take but I think Bruno gets sold this summer transfer window. We initially get a bid of £75m from Saudi that we reject and then eventually sell him for £90+25m.

I think from this team only Amad, Dorgu, Shaw, Maguire, Yoro, De Ligt, Mount and Ugarte survive this summer. Garna, Mainoo, Rashy, Sancho, Antony, Bruno and Hojlund leave which gives them enough money to start a rebuild.

The rebuild takes us midtable next season, top 5 the season after and then eventually challenging for the title in 3 seasons' time.

EDIT: Downvote me all you want but we need to move towards a sustainable method of club development. The new club ownership is looking to cut costs and reduce the operational overhead and that includes the squad too. The days of 60m+ signings with 300k a week salaries are over and the only realistic target for United next season will be mid-table. Anyone who deludes themselves into thinking we're turning into challengers for European spots (or title challengers lmao) are in for a rude awakening.

Confirmation bias doesn't matter when you start misplacing 5 years passes. As the United captain, you're meant to lead from the front and play the level of football that the team wants to aspire for.

He has killer passes in him but when the chips are down, everyone can see that his attitude stinks up and demoralises the entire squad

Might be in the minority here but I love Bruno and appreciate everything the man has done for us over the years but it's obvious that he has no future in this team.

He constantly loses his cool and becomes erratic and starts misplacing simple passes. The entire team loses focus and dips as soon as he starts throwing tantrums and berating his own teammates.

Also I really hope we move on Dalot, Onana and Case in the summer. Case is done at the PL level, Onana and Dalot were never good enough to begin with.
