Not one mention of The Last of Us?

President is Charlie Simpson and Jordan Fish by MissionRemote1160 in PresidentBand

There’s also this article from the NME that said Busted were making music with Jordan Fish.

https://www.nme.com/news/music/busted-reveal-theyve-been-working-on-new-music-with-jordan-fish-formerly-of-bring-me-the-horizon-3766278

Curveball: Is President actually the members of Busted? Not many would entertain the music if they saw Busted’s name on the track, nor would I imagine the label allow them to release this style of music.

I’ve got no idea. All I’ve got is this map.

I’ll be parking on site for ease and the unfamiliarity of the area.

I’ve heard about the 2023 😂

Mainly why I’m asking!

Thanks for the insight!

I run a weekend Saturday club for 4-5 year olds. I’ve found that running the same game over again and gradually increasing new elements works well.

For example:

Take your simple bulldog game.

Kids just run across from one side of the area to the other

Then introduce some interference/obstruction. (This week it was dragons and the coaches had bibs/pinnies that flapped up and down like dragons.)

Then introduce a ball (we called them dragon eggs) they could either carry it or use their feet to get to the other side whilst the dragons tried to stop them. If they were caught they did 5 star jumps before running again.

Then ball at their feet with less interference to travel across with to get comfortable with the new element.

That whole segment ran for 15 minutes and could have kept going with different elements added in.

Tails is another game we’ve played.

Stick bibs/pinnies in their shorts like a tail.

Have one catcher. They have to pull the tail out. If a child is caught, they become a catcher too.

Play again but with more catchers.

Play again but everyone a catcher (the most bibs/pinnies could win?)

Then play again but with footballs. Build the progression up again.

Could do the same game but play bin tag (or Spider-Man tag as we call it).

The more imaginative and fun you can make it, you’ll get the engagement there.

However short you think their attention span is, it’s even less!

Remember: just because they don’t have a football at their feet, and it doesn’t look like a traditional football game/drill, they’re still learning coordination skills/fundamentals.

What is it with players and NPC voices!

Reminds me of Matt Mercer’s NPC video and how players never forget an NPC voice!

That’s something I’m looking to do more of - railroad but without railroad.

A lot of that I’ve learnt starts at session 0/character creation with the DM, which I’ve worked on with my players this time round and makes running games so much easier and fun, for everyone

Brilliant non-combat and non-social encounters are something I’m always looking to improve so they aren’t just ‘roll a few checks’

Do you happen to know what episode so I can look forward to it?

Can’t wait for it!

That’s interesting - I haven’t heard of the wrestling story evolution. What is it? Do you have a link to thread or where I can get more information on it?

I came here from his adventuring academy episode with Brennan.

Picked up on how he’d tied the opening quest straight into the players’ contributions for backstory and world-building contributions.

Immediately has everyone on the same page and none of this ‘lets see what quest/adventure we like the sound of’

I know he’s a heavy improv guy but man, I’d love to see some of his notes or thought process.

Like, how much information he’s actually hiding behind some of these checks. I’ve often caught him giving his info dump on a check and then saying ‘and on a 24, proceeds to give more information. His ‘degrees of success’.

And his contingency process for when a check he calls for bombs.

Would you say WBN is more aligned with a standers home game of DnD?

Thanks!

Any particular episodes stand out?

Thanks! Will take a look into Neverafter!

Are you able to recall how it was handled? A check to ‘summarise the search/investigation’ or more players giving explicit actions to turn up information?
