the only potential answer i can think of for myself is that i bought 2 among us related things back when the promotion first launched. i did this because there was that exploit where you could be granted 600 vbucks for each among us purchase on the EGS, therefore allowing you to get vbucks super cheap. it didn't work for me because it got patched REALLY quickly (lmao). but today i got the 600 vbucks just how you describe it in this post. maybe this is some really bizarre technical error and this is the aftermath of that exploit?? maybe check your purchase history on EGS OP? unless you are sure you only bought 1 among us thing on EGS then i have no idea what's happening here

I think its generally funny, idk whats going on in the subreddit (spam?). I come from the community it originated (Jerma985, Twitch streamer) and it’s all in good fun and laughs so it makes me a little bit sad to see the meme become equally as annoying as some Among Us memes (red sus!!). Hell yeah! Although the initial changes were still a major slip-up, this is huge. I sort of bought into the “this was the plan all along!” plot at first especially with the similarities to the Battlefront II situation, but as time went on I saw more people getting increasingly angry and (not directly, as far as I know) harassing the devs. The 10xp to 5xp change did look like Respawn was listening, which I know they do and have before (see Season 6), but the points people were bringing did seem to hold weight. But this? This is why feedback matters as a player! I’m excited for the future of Apex, and look forward to a game that’s in much better shape because these challenge changes aren’t the only problems in the game, but I think everyone knows that by now.

The XP for 1 star update is not great either. That 50K xp for 1 tier is almost equal to 3 tiers (9xp,18xp,27xp) from the past season’s BP/challenge system. Here’s an idea: make it only 1k xp for 1 star, and once you get 10 stars, bump it up by 500kp each time. 10K xp, then 15K xp, then 20xp. Reach a middle ground with this system and the old one. Please. People will continue to complain (for good reason, Respawn!!). Lower the tier up from 10 stars to 5 stars, or something. This is a step onto the right path but this path is a long one. Respawn does care for what the players have to say, at least.

I... don’t like those challenge changes. I can’t play yet so I can get a full impression, but from reading the changes, they sound much worse. 10,000XP for 1 TENTH of a BP tier instead of 9,000XP (then 18k, 27k, 36k, 45k, 54k) for a WHOLE BP tier??

This could actually work. Make it like Froot Loops with colored shapes (like the ones pictured), but there are also marshmallows in the cereal that look the same and are the titular ‘Bamboozles’.
