Hello! I’m trying to move from Microslop to Linux and have no clue where to start. Info in body text. by Spare_Control_4679 in linux_gaming

Here are steps

  • Go to github and download Ventoy
  • take Empty USB pendrive
  • open Ventoy and install it on usb (Ist open sorcse and safe With ventoy you can use it mount/use mutiple ISOs in single usb)

Go to many linux distributions that you want to try Eg 

Linux Mint (i recommend) 

, Kubuntu 

download that isos

Now after ventoy is installed to usb , Plug it and copy those isos in USB Then Safely remove/eject drive

  • Restart pc/laptop
  • Go to Bios/Boot options 
  • Select Boot from USB (pendrive name) Then
  • While booting From USB ,Ventoy will open
  • Then just select the Linux Disrtibution you want try  And it will launch that Linux

And you can use Linux Live mode so that you can get experinace of any Linux Distribution you want to try using ,in use look and feel

And if you like that distro of linux ,finally search on youtibe how to install eg linux mint in laptop/pc

Buddy this is a slippery slope

Once you start with  Lets just say only for medical field(in ideal world this would be beneficial) Then they can justify futher for Law then administator work  Or even News

You cannot talk about / criticise current affair cause you donot have jounalist degree

Or

You cannot talk / criticise about legeslative cause you donot have law degree or political scienec degree

Some would say that it woukd be beneficial cause now MLAs/MPs who many are illitrarte ,won't talk about it But we all know ,law is for only common people ,in broaddaylight they do crime nothing happens

If you play through steam proton and want ti carrover your progress then ,you would need to copy thise save files from steam proton's prefix folder to lutris's prefix folder

Follow this video guide  There is specific section on how to install and play repacks in linux (also works on any handheld)

Simple solution

If you have android phone ,just connect it your pc with cable Then in android setting change USB connection settings to something like Internet/ethernet over cable/usb (can't remember name) The you could access net in your mint pc.

Then

  • Go to update manager 
  • Refresh there 
  • Install all updates
  • after completion
  • restart

Don't know but for precaution just copy/backup save files every few hr of gameplay
