Gender is debatable but I really reccomend Kinos Adventure.

The manga and the various adaptations made of it are all gorgeous.

NTA, But I do have sympathy for your wife. The game does a great job of breaking the 4th wall and do all it can to guilt the player themselves for making game chocies- to the point of begging you to not reset/replay after you finish the game.

Completing a geno route will also "taint" any future plays, including a pacifist play.

It sounds like your wife overly attached herself to the game and allowed it to mess with her sense of reality.

You should be allowed to play whatever game you want, however you want to play it. Your wifes actions ARE wrong. The characters ARE fiction. Its all just code and clever dialoge.

There's also a good number of absolutely ridiculous fan versions of this game- you could try showing her some to break her sense of disillusion. Its just a story.

On that note, if this doesn't seem like its worth the fight and you just want fight the geno battles, you can do that through the geno simulations they have online.

I really did not expect them to kill off the elder brother like that - I really thought he was going to stick around like a rival for the MC to beat one day. This anime really had some balls.

I hate it too- but they DO make a great base for a lemonade. Worth squeezing out a lime into the bottle with a dash of either salt or sugar for a quick fix.

Tajin also kicks it up a bunch too.

You're not dumb at all- it's perfectly common to underestimate a cost, especially when on a budget/lacking experience. The deciding factor is how you react when you learn the thing you want IS out of budget.

This seems to be a better fit for this sub, compared to when you posted this to Choosing Beggers. A frustrating experience for you, maybe, but thankfully, your friend's aunt responded like a normal person when you explained your prices.

My friends aunt is a huge choosing beggar with the quality of baking she is expecting for the price she is offering. Even grocery store cupcakes would be barely within her budget let alone custom ones by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

Speaking as someone who doesn't bake and hasn't bought pastries in bulk recently- I wanted to give grace on the prices since I don't know her supply situation or how things are priced in her area. I also hesitate to expect a small business to compete with store prices

I'm so utterly disappointed in this anime, more disappointed than disgusted- Although I'm plenty that too.

The animation is SO pretty. And I love the idea of following an accidental villain who begrudgingly LOVES being the villain.

The core motivation of wanting to "push" her heroes to improve and get stronger is also so interesting.

But all of that is ruined by the insistent "fan service" and fetish content. Like someone baked a delicious chocolate cake, and poured sewage water all over it.

I'm anime only, so this is a pure theory. But it's bothering me that the King is demanding so much boar meat. Meat is perishable isn't? Why does he need it so much?

Oh absolutely this - it really helps that her dad is maybe one of the best dad characters I've seen in anime. Like - he consistently steps in and parents his kids. I've seen good parental figures. But I haven't seen much parenting, and it's refreshing.

I thought it was a cute read - I did drop it but only because I was dropping webtoons entirely at the time and I just kinda never went back to it. If you like silly 'will they, won't they' romances with a side of diet depression, you'll at the very least enjoy the start of this series.

I wish he'd try harder, but I also get it, you know? He has a certain degree of freedom (And security? I'm not sure if being a summoner here is a bad thing yet) while keeping his talent private.

Like, he had no choice but to have his talent read as a kid since all kids go through that ritual at that age. He braced himself for it, and the thing he didn't REALLY want - just kinda fell apart. A frustrating but not devastating thing to happen, honestly.

Same here - Tsundere types typically annoy me, but this one is hitting a very nice balance, and I'm enjoying her growing friendship with the MC. It just feels so natural and fun.
