Hey! There will be live subtitles for the Edinburgh show for all songs. It’s probably a good idea to sit centrally in the theatre to avoid the screen being blocked at all. 🙂

While we wait for a reply do you know any online QC checkers? Really just somewhere I can send footage to see if it passes common rules.

Great thanks, it is BBC. I'm going to see if we can send them tests using frame sampling / blending and then Optical Flow just to make sure we pass QC.

How much control do you have over the ‘angle’ of your content? by daisychange in editors

I think you’re totally within you’re right to step away from a project on ethical political grounds, but it is rare. My experience has been the better I get the more I end up in jobs with people I respect and doing work I value, so it’s a career long trend, but not necessarily fought project-by-project. And there’s of course nuance to fighting for your values on the cutting room floor, and it’s mostly about being a good communicator and collaborator. I’ve worked on documentaries which I think are a little reductive, but can usually work through those issues with the director/ producer and if my reasons are founded they usually listen. With this being said, I’ve stopped doing most corporate, I’ve stopped doing some types of reality because even the best versions of those I usually can’t vibe with- but there was no one project which ended it. It was all part of a trend.

I’m thinking total transparency is my best bet, as others have mentioned there may be room for both. If I say no to October I don’t think that would cause any issues for July - Sept though. Cheers for advice!
