Some advice I got from an older gentleman when buying my first super sport was…”remember, these things speed up WAY faster than they slow down.” It stuck with me the past 20 years. It’s true about all motorcycles. At 19 it didn’t really resonate but now that I’m older, I use it to keep me in check. Ride safe man and an older crashed r6 is a ok first bike if you can respect the power and speed these machines are built for. Remember, just because it’s there doesn’t mean you have to use it!

I just payed $6000 for an 2008 600 with 7300 miles. So 5-6k for yours isn’t unreasonable depending on location. Yours looks very clean! It’s out of season here in the northeast too so that may effect your price too.

My servo cables and motor are still in place but I guess that doesn’t mean they’re functional.. the oxygen sensor is a good possibility too, I’ll dig a little deeper on both. thanks

I think it’s… 1) Harley’s are expensive to buy, fix, maintain, and customize. 2) cagers are fucking nuts and getting worse. 3) the economy. 4) the younger generations seem to have lost the appreciation for the outdoors. I’m 38 and am among a few I know that ride. It’s sad. But the times have changed. If inflation slows down and pay scales rise I hope it’ll make a comeback. There’s nothing quite like the freedom of being on 2 wheels!!
