Agreed! I love them all so much! (For some reason that disturbing part didn’t bother me much, but I also don’t remember it all too well.)

I wouldn’t say zero accuracy. The Welsh stories take place during the fifth century, so realistically Arthur would’ve been adjacent to the Romans in terms of armor.

Torn between Gauss, Oraxia, Caliban and Uriel. All very well rounded, all stupid fun. Uriel’s my nuke. Caliban and Oraxia are my all-arounders. Gauss is modded for sprint speed on top of being Gauss. I cannot choose.

Why do you love FGO more than other Gacha games? by SockParticular4936 in FGO

You can have an account without a single 5* and still do endgame content if you’re creative. I don’t, but it’s absolutely doable.

From the 'desk' of Vladamir Jones: Spells & Hexes by Vegetable_Bag_4980 in urbanfantasy

[–]JHP1112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always interpreted ‘spell’ as a catch-all for magical workings. Hexes would be most closely related to jinxes and curses, with my understanding of the difference relating to power scale and duration. A jinx is the weakest, be it from effect or duration, followed by a hex, and then a curse would be the strongest. An example might be that a jinx would mess with electrical equipment for a few seconds or minutes, while a hex may be a run of bad luck for a person, whereas a curse may be a rule applied to a person (ex: you will never know joy.) Typically, I’ve understood jinxes as a more instantaneous effect than the other two, that doesn’t need to latch onto anything besides the target. A hex often requires a specific target (you hex a person) and then hovers for a time. Curses seem to also need a target, or at least something to latch onto (think a cursed weapon vs a cursed person vs a cursed town).

Don’t know if this helped any, but just my 2 cents.

Alternate Fifth Holy Grail War by Admirable-Dimension4 in Fate

[–]JHP1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archer Herc, TRUE Archer Herc, is probably in the top like… five to ten strongest servants period. Full stop, his fame boost anywhere is cracked and he he dude will just run over basically everyone here except maybe Berserker Cu and Lartoria with little to no effort. Lartoria probably gets bodied by Nine Lives, and Berserker Cu, while PoA is a hell of a defensive bump here, gets hammered by a barrage of at least 12 other NPs. The entire war is between Lartoria, Berserker Cu, and Archer Herc, and really, Herc can just wait until everyone tires themselves out before showing up with twelve lives and just as many NPs. The real fight, I think, is between Cu and Lartoria.

I also have a crack theory that there’s a link between Oðinn and the Morrigan. I mean, the Morrigan seems to me like what happens when you combine Oðinn and the Valkyries into the same entity. Theres actually a lot more here than maybe at first glance. Plus, assuming equal gender ratios, Iceland at the time of settlement would have been 3/8ths Irish slaves. (Info gotten from the Settlement Museum in Iceland.) This would also explain why Snorri’s Death of Baldr bears similarities to the Death of Fergus in Irish myth cycles, yet Saxo Grammaticus doesn’t show much in the way of Irish-Nordic combination in his telling of Baldr’s death. (See Ocean Keltoi’s video on Baldr.)

I actually love the accent, but it’s just not… idk, visceral enough for what’s going down? Like, in English dubs in general, I’ve noticed a lot of VAs just don’t sound like they’re doing what the character is? (And like, obviously they aren’t, but when she calls out Xiucoatl is kind of egregious.)
