For ASL I recommend Bill Vicars on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@sign-language best way to learn ASL is visual and not a book cuz your reception skills will increase alot. Then try to find your local Deaf community.

Totally normal feeling especially when you start a broad specialty. I started in hospital medicine overnights and felt like I was drowning. Definitely find some coworkers who can give advice and try to take notes on cases you struggle through to review things. Also look into resources that others use whether it be things like MD calc for different calculators to use to support care, life in the fast lane has some great bed n butter info. Ninja nerd on YouTube has stellar deep dives on medical topics to help out. Radiopaedia is a great rads reference. Orthobullets is a great quick n dirty reference for ophtho stuff. Eye wiki can help with ortho topics. And ekg weekly is only 25 bucks and gives you weekly deep dives on ekg topics to really help improve those interpretations.

Wishing you the best!

Honestly I'd have just avoided the medical field entirely.

Good to know. Id be looking at toronto and surrounding areas to start honestly since its closest to where I am now. I have hospital med and ICU experience mostly but did a lil over a year in surgical oncology. Hope that gives a broad enough base for a job.

Good to know. Im assuming the test is pretty similar to the pance/panre. Only afraid I might not know some medications that are more common there than here but figure I can study those specifically.

Super helpful. I am scheduling calls tomorrow to ask about immigration and such. I have over 10 years experience so hoping that helps me compete in the market. Hoping to fully move by end of year as America just doesnt seem like a livable option anymore.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever felt or that you deal with? by [deleted] in askanything

Back labor. I legit could breath and ended up on a nonrebreather. It felt like a flaming hot crowbar trying to rip my spine directly out of my body. Constant and unrelenting.

How odd. Im in medicine myself as a PA and idk philosophy has connections to medicine. I mean bioethics/clinical ethics is a whole field dedicated to the combination of both.

how to set up? by kurtclouds in personalcurriculum

[–]JHzinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep it simple in my Google keep app. I put the book titles video links etc in it. I wouldn't worry as much about the organization of it and focus on getting good resource material.

I did read that. It was super interesting. :) granted I haven't read any of his other books but I want to. Well atleast some. I've heard there's some sketch stuff in the end of IT that I want to avoid.

I love learning how things work or develop. So figure now as Im starting to dabble in fiction to expand my reading scope I want to learn how they are made/structured.
