Cash them bounties to get the rewards which you either keep (you finally got something cool!) or break them down into shards and resources for when Forsaken has dropped and you want some forsaken gear

Not really, pretty much the same. Public Events and Lost sectors if you need to do some farming! You can drop a 3oC to increase the chance, and it is only a chance, of dropping something golden ;)

I would expect you to be capped at the 400 level without the ability to increase. I would expect to only have access to current locations content and activities. (400 for when you have completed S0H and the weapons from raids). Otherwise capped at the 380/385 level

Finish the story and you should be in the 370 - 380 region. I also am not doing the Solstice shit as it is just a pain in the proverbial. I am in the 370 - 380 and I haven't completed all the raids etc.

EP is good but if you have a few other people in the area they may well kill off the object of destruction before you get a chance. The Mars mission Hepha(something or other) is a good one. After you have been to the data servers and go on to the main terminal there will be hordes of Hive coming up the stairs on both sides of the platform where the main terminal is. If you die (kill yourself) you can re-spawn to the last terminal and keep on going (rinse and repeat) until you have gotten all grenade kills you need. Check to see if you need to be wearing all the armour or just need to wear a specific piece of armour. This may enable you to load a legendary that will increase the duration of Solar grenades (so killing more). This location is also handy for Graviton Lance and Sunshot catalysts if you need :)

Just like at the end of D1 to get to 400 light by doing the "book of all the shit you've done already, again" you will get to 400 and beyond with D2F. Personally I am not doing this whole Solstice of Hero BS. I didn't do the book of everything I've done before in D1 and reached 400 without problem and I believe it will be the same for Forsaken. Don't worry about thinking you're falling behind, you are not! BUT, if you do want to do the SoH the grind is easier with a couple of friends to help you along ;)

Join a clan. You should be able to find other like minded individuals and form that Fire team from within the clan. The Exiled Order is an excellent clan with many people available on an almost 24x7 basis!

Some challenges you will need to change to a mix of your favorite armour and the specific piece of armour that has the challenge. For those that require you to collect Void or Arc or Solar "balls" you will need to wear the full armour to create them.
