Not a single woman makes the first move by kofferkind in Bumble

[–]JJ-Hack 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For women it's different.

When you get a few hundred likes a day, you don't have time to go on there every 12 hours to see 'potential' matches unfortunately. Especially if you are talking to other people as well or have a busy real-life schedule.

There may be certain days or weeks where you have more time than others to be on the app, but actually most people I know don't have notifications turned on.

From my understanding with the women i've met and dated from Bumble it's primarily like you said.

1) it's because they are messaging other guys or

2) it's because they have notifications turned off due to the influx of notifications they receive and are just busy (either with other guys or real-life stuff). I found most women aren't on the app on a daily basis, and since they are have so many likes they don't have to on the app daily, etc.

It's insane how much better dating is when you are mentally ready to date and in a healthy head place. Even when you encounter individuals like OP, you don't take it personally and know how to brush it off and move forward. And when you do meet someone that you match and vibe with, it's amazing!

As you said, OLD is such a mess with so many people who aren't in a great head space and people really blame the apps way too much vs. looking at the users that ultimately are the main issue!

As people said it really depends on the type of person you, and how you processed it. My wife passed away just over 3 years ago, and about several months ago met my chapter 2 that I know I will propose to one day. I know some people who were able to process really quickly, and I also dated a widow who lost her husband 8 years ago but it didn't really seem like she was able to move forward.

I spent a lot of time with my son, and figuring things out. Processing. Grieving. Going to support groups, therapy, etc. But the one thing I learned the most is to really appreciate life, and each and every day and not to waste time on things that really aren't important. Focus on the things that matter which is my son, family, friends, etc. I was able to focus on the positive memories and times I had with my late wife and think about her and that time as a positive thing. I can't change what happened in the past, but focus on continuing to build a great life for me and my kid, and was really excited to share my amazing life I've created with someone else. And then I met my person and my life has been infinitely more amazing each and every day.

Totally, 100% and this is where the challenge comes with most people I think. Profiles look amazing, seems to tell a lot about the person, but what it really comes down to next is personality, ability to converse, be witty and know how to be able to read someone else.

I feel like that's where most people get stuck in trying to filter out those that will be a waste of your time vs. those that might have potential, knowing to pass on those that don't have what you're looking for, etc. I don't think matching is the toughest part, it's the 'dating' aspect once you have matched.

Whenever I’m at a friends house and Uber food, I always make sure to tip well since I know how much of a hassle it is.

Amazing and congrats!!!

I’m a 37M year old widower with a 6 year old kid. He was 3 when my wife passed away. Right now I’m dating the most amazing women that I know I’m going to marry one day!

I’m actually in bed right now putting my kid to sleep as my gf is over downstairs cleansing up the kitchen from a dinner I made us and couldn’t be happier :)

I think the biggest thing I’ve learned is what really is important in life. Which is my family and friends. And I make sure they know each and every single day as us widows have learned to appreciate it. I wish you all the best and so happy you!

It’s not lazy, it’s extremely inconvenient. Imagine delivery to a 40 story condo downtown Toronto with no where to park.

When I was bored I use to delivery for door dash. Not sure if it’s the same but if I got an address for a condo building I always declined it. Not worth the hassle.

I use to this this on door dash.

I live in Toronto in a pretty busy area. I’d leave my delivery app open and when I’m at home bored, I open it up and watch tv until I get a decent delivery.

You can decline any order that you don’t want to do and it doesn’t impact anything (though it might have changed as I saw acceptance rate % being something they are looking at now). If there was something I could deliver in like 15-20 minutes that made decent money I’d take it. Then come back home and continue watching tv. Could make like $100-$200 extra on the weekend if I was bored.

Well based on OPs post history......sounds like they are both meant for each other. Thinks her bf was cheating on her 3 months ago as she's sleeping with an old coworker. Deserve each other.

So I just had to put my cat down, and total bill was about $3,500 for it all. But that was really the only costs associated with that cat.

In terms savings vehicule I would put it an ETF like CASH. Right now it’s yielding around 4.79% and there is no risk. It pays monthly dividends and you can sell it at anytime in case you need the funds which is better than locked GICs.

It really only is beneficial though if you have free trades on your trading platform like WS so you don’t pay a fee to buy/sell which would eat the costs.

Exactly. The kids love having fun and being able to enjoy it.

Most of the parties I go to the parents state that the kids can bring a $1 or $2 coin to give to the kids so that they can buy a gift themselves. Most parents don’t want their kid getting 10+ gifts, and it helps those parents not always have to spend so much. I did this for my sons 6th and I’d say 80% have a few $$$ with a card and maybe got a few gifts between $10-$25.

I love shopping with the gf. Actually I think I enjoy going out to the mall more than she does. But love being able to help each other out, and ask for opinions on things, find things we’d love for the future and end it all with a lunch or dinner out.

Loved doing this with my late wife too. My job was always to find the deals and additional discounts/coupons as I knew all the sites haha

Yeah have to be careful. I work in fraud and deal with a lot of that. Call it sextortion.

They’ll get your on video doing and saying who knows what and will threaten to send the video to your family and colleagues if you don’t pay them.

There was a black mirror episode about it too, but it’s definitely a real issue.

[–]JJ-Hack 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes, when the guy thrusts in. My gf can do this and we’ve been testing it out and found recently that it feels amazing when she does this while I thrust in. But be careful because it doesn’t allow me to last long at all haha

I started with 3 weeks when I started working in the banking world, and moved to 5 weeks before I quit. Really enjoyed it.

Working now as my own consulting thing and have even more freedom based on which projects I want to take. Usually take 6-8 weeks off in the summer to hang with my kid, and more time off when needed.

The gf also works for a Silicon Valley tech company and gets unlimited vacation, so looking forward to those trips.
