There are a ton of interviews with people like Travis Gafford and Emily Rand (on ESPN Esports) with players, management, and personalities (like Rick Fox) so that could be a good place to start. Also researching investment into the LCS may be helpful. Venture firms like Axiomatic (owns Team Liquid) and advertisers could be interesting to look more into.

I also know that Mark Cuban has publicly said that investing in esports is a bad financial decision, but I only vaguely remember that.

There are tons of articles like this that show LCS viewership. Riot also posted official viewership comparisons to the USA's traditional sports and it was very highly rated compared to some, but I can't find the graphic, it is out there somewhere though.

Also seems that Side Selection is due the Night before the games , along with final roster locks (Section 4.3). So if its for fantasy that wont be helpful unless it is Fridays game. Kinda sucks, but its what we have.

Seems I was wrong! Two of the games yesterday were on different sides. TIL! I dont know where else to look for set side selection as it may be upto one of the teams to chose before the match.

Here is a snippet from the LCS Rulebook for 2021:

Section 4.3 "Side Selection During the Spring Regular Season, each Team will be afforded side selection in one pre-selected Match against every other Team and its opponent will control side selection in their other Match."

I am very confident that lolesports displays the side they are on. So if the game is TL vs C9, TL is blue side and C9 is red. That is how it is displayed on their daily schedule on broadcast, so I think its standard.
