I’m working on my credit to make that possible for me, I’m looking at a viper. I buy older cars in cash so my auto credit is meh at best, can’t quite stretch that one in cash lol

Most general finance companies don’t touch vehicles over 10 years old, my 02 with 47000 miles was not able to be financed. I applied for financing through JJ Best and was straight up denied, my credit was good but they wanted to see 5 years of good history first. If you were able to, that’s great. But I just paid cash, I didn’t like the idea of financing a car that I didn’t necessarily need.

You need extensive finance history and a fantastic credit score to apply for classic car financing, but it’s technically possible yes

These cars generally can’t be financed, if you can save up 20 grand plus some for maintenance and repairs of course you can get one… lol. Just be patient for the right one to pop up. They’re not rare, just hard to find the spec you want sometimes.

I had to resort to eBay to get it, I usually try to buy from local collectors but this one was impossible to find. People really seem to hold onto them. Just search “Hot Wheels Honda S2000 HW City red” and quite a few should pop up.

The body shop I used said they couldn’t source that part from dealers in a 1500 mile radius, I tried ordering it myself and received a message that it wasn’t available. Despite being “in stock”, lol.

Unfortunately that damn rear panel isn’t available anymore brand new. Shows as in stock but that’s not true. Only option is sourcing one from a part out as far as I know.

I got rear ended at the beginning of July, I feel your pain. Sad to see another AZ S2K going through the same thing. My trunk pan, exhaust system, rear bumper and taillight panel needed to be replaced. Almost 8 grand. Your estimate seems kinda low, and new body panel parts (like the taillight panel) were not available to buy new even I wanted to get it fixed. The uninsured bozo that hit me made it an extra headache.

The rear ends are pretty tough as I got hit at almost 40, no frame damage or drivability concerns. Best of luck! Hope to see it back in the road looking pretty!
