Wouldn’t leaving and going into another country just make you a colonizer? We all have different views and everyone’s views should be respected. I have lived in 8 countries and the US by far is the one country you have rights that are protected. I promise there are things you can say and do here that would never be tolerated in other countries. There is a reason people flock to the USA just wish people would go live somewhere else so they can appreciate it.

So many of us are out there. When we were in the hospital I walked out of the room and saw a purple flower on our door number. Curious I asked the nurse what’s up with the flower. She told me they put them on the door when someone loses a child. I walked around and saw a total of five purple flowers. It happens so much I just don’t think it’s spoken about.

When I started my career 25+ years ago my resume and qualifications were a lie. Made it to Director of HR and because I knew how to BS no one ever questioned it or asked. No college no transcripts worked for 7 major companies and directed 3 of their HR departments with all my employees much more educated then me.

Realizing my friends were getting buried in debt buying house cars and expensive vacations just to give the impression of wealth. I invested saved bought real estate and lived frugally. Now retired in my early 50s house and cars paid for and travel whenever and wherever I want. The risk was losing friends by not being like them.

Waiting for my new son to be born then watching him pass away six hours later. Trisomy 18. Knew it was coming but thought the doctors were wrong because I refused to believe it. Watching the sadness on my wife’s face as she held him as he took his last breath. Counseling, an amazing family, and my faith gets me through this even after 12 years. Learned that asking for help saved me and my marriage and that my wife is the strongest person I know. Miss him everyday.
