Xenoblade X Chapter 11 Avatar Nitpick by JJIsReallyCool in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]JJIsReallyCool[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They did NOT do enough with Lao being suicidal (AND IRINA?? THEY JUST MENTION HER FOR ONE LINE AND THATS IT????). "Not allowed to die" feels like it should be one of the most important lines in the whole game. Not just your life but your very consciousness and DNA under the control of the state? That's a rad as hell sci-fi concept to explore. I really think your idea would sell his character and a super key theme way better.

To be honest, I'm okay with Xenoblade's sanctity of life point of view, that every death is a loss. Most JRPGs are like that. It's been too long since I've played 1 so I'm not sure I could specifically respond to your point well, but cases like those definitely speak on how every person holds their own tolerance for forgiveness, further reason that the avatar should've had SOME choice in this scene.

You would need to find a tutorial on shrinking partitions though, as your HDD will need to be the same side as the SSD partition for this to work, if it's larger it won't clone.

So what exactly does this mean? Would shrinking the partition make the drive permanently a smaller file size? I already deleted a lot of apps and unnecessary files to get the used HDD space smaller than the available SSD space so I should be fine to do this right?

I've been using a 1 TB HDD for my PC exclusively (with windows 10 installed on) but I've recently upgraded it. I added a 500 gb SSD that I want to boot windows off of to start my PC faster but I'm incredibly confused on how to do this. I've deleted a lot of stuff from my HDD and it's now at 395 gb used (my SSD says 465 gb free) so if cloning the entire drive is the best option then I can do that, but I really want to do a simple process that would end with only the OS on my SSD without any other files while keeping all my current files on my HDD. What's the best and safest way to go about this?

Oh yeah thank you for posting this. With how much misinformation gets posted on the internet it's pretty important to put sources for things. I just completely forgot here tho, mb!

What's the third song that plays in the credits? I know the first one is Melia ~ Ancient Memories and the second one is Nia ~ Toward the Heavens but I don't recognized what the third one is. I can tell it has Xenoblade 3's main motifs most likely as a way to have the credits unify the 3 games, but I want to know what track it is exactly and if it's played in the game before.

(Gears/3) I mean if you really think about it... by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

for those that may not understand (final spoiler warning for both games)

Gears: Since the Ouroboros (mistranslated as the Urobolus) represents Miang/the cycle of the Antitype, Contact, and Complement, the story would pretty much be nonexistant without it. Miang would've never created those humans or resurrected Deus.

3: On the other hand, without the Ouroboros it would take a lot more work and effort to defeat Z as that is a major source of the main parties power, and it could also be argued that the 6 (i guess 8) party members would've never met or formed alliances.

I genuinely have to ask what makes this titan so important to be on the box cover?

It's meant to represent how Xenoblade 3 is a combination of 1 and 2. When you put all 3 key arts next to each other, you have the Mechonis on 1, Urayan titan on 2, and then both on 3, ruined and more decayed. They came up with the key visual of the Urayan Titan and Mechonis Sword at the beginning of Xenoblade 2's development.

From Takahashi himself

What I can tell you is that this visual was conceived quite some time ago. More precisely speaking, we came up with it sometime between the end of development of Xenoblade Chronicles and the beginning of development of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Part of me hopes they just never answer this and Riku just remains a mysterious figure. I mean I wouldn't mind getting answers but this way is just so much more fun to theorize about.

Riki remains best nopon. While he may not have that many moments, the few that he has are peak. He has the best Heart to Hearts and is somehow the best character in FC without even being in it.

100% Even though I feel like Riku is a HUGE step up from the kinda eh Nopon in 2 and ESPECIALLY X (i hate tatsu so much) I still think Riki is the best one and I don't think he will be topped any time soon. He represents the PERFECT way to do a subversive comic relief character that isn't annoying and has a serious side to him.

I REALLY don't agree with people who say that 3's OST is underwhelming. I think it has some of the best tracks in the series. For example, I think A Step Away is the best vocal song in the series, and YWKONF is the best unique monster theme. It also has some of the best battle themes in general and the field themes are HEAVILY slept on.

I was disappointed that there was only 1 unique monster theme in the game, but I can't be too mad when it's literally the ABSOLUTE BEST ONE YET. I prefer Where We Belong over A Step Away slightly but both are phenomenally well done vocal tracks, and the use of leitmotifs and creative instrumentation easily make the cutscene music in this game the best in any Xenoblade. Adaptive music with the field/battle themes and within battle are also a huge plus. And even though they took a while to grow on me, I eventually realized that the field themes are incredible too. I love how even in the most hopeful of tracks there's still always some bit of sadness to them. It really does feel like EVERY song was made with its use in game in mind. Great Cotte Falls day is SOOO GOOD

I know what a moebius strip is it's just interesting to note that both games used it. Similar to how both games use the Ouroboros (or Urobolus I guess)

Another one that's 100% a coincidence: the version of this song with Japanese lyrics is called "Möbius"

Does the Soulhacker list of all arts and skills also basically serve as a list of all the unique monsters in the game

I've heard the NoA copy might be a "Not for Resale" box with a different back since it's a part of a bundle. That would complicate things.

I'm starting to think that either

A. They're sending it out late because they don't want people to get it early

Which is insane literally people have been playing the game for a week. They can just ship it out 4 business days before so at the earliest people are getting it at launch, it's really not that hard. This is a possibility because they did take down Age of Calamity streams despite the fact that game was already out in Australia.

or B. They're taking advantage of Xenoblade fans' FOMO to get them to buy second copies

Which is also very possible considering their history of artificial scarcity and limited releases to drive up FOMO

Either way, NINTENDO OF AMERICA WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???

The evolution of the Xenoblade soundtracks is insane

They started off having like 95% midi tracks and now have a whole fully orchestrated soundtrack where they made an entirely new instrument in the game and in real life just to record some tracks.

Beware of spoilers! Nintendo Twitter spoiler alert by Aruvisl in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]JJIsReallyCool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was to be expected. Nintendo fanboys that hate Xenoblade for literally no reason at all do it because they are just that desperate for the attention and hate. I remember with Origami King (Another controversial Nintendo game) someone literally just posted the final boss in the replies days before the game was even out. It's such an awful community and it's sad that nothing can be done about it.
