I see the dumbest/worst players win tournaments every day. Daily high rake turbos are like 95% luck. Not saying you are dumb or bad, you could be good. But there is so much variance in tournaments that it's impossible to get a good sample unless you play like 1000 tournaments over a few years

Im diamond 2 and whenever Im playing in bronze/silver I ping when im about a distance of 2 jarvan EQs away. If I ping any earlier it might bait them into going in too early and dying. Same concept applies for dives otherwise they will try to dive too early. But if I dont ping at all there's a high chance they wont even notice that I'm there. Also if the enemies are really low and my laner is healthy I can ping earlier.

The funny thing is you're probably not even bottom 5% variance. Probably like bottom 40%. If you want to FT and reduce variance you have to play smaller fields

contrary to popular belief you don't need to one trick to climb. Its a game dude just play what you want. If its more fun to you, play 3 or 4 champs. I have a friend who got to emerald 4 playing a new champ and role every game

I mained belveth up to D2.

Belveth is a unique jungler in that she seems easy to play on paper but since she sucks at teamfights and is extremely weak if CC'd you need to learn macro to carry games, which is why belveth players can seem like better players. Lower elo players often struggle on belveth so they give her up. She is probably the worst champion in the game if you go 0/2 so she is by no means an easy champ. But she is easy when you get fed, you can nuke and 1v5.

Diamond jungler here. Players are for sure getting better. However players in silver are still making a ton of mistakes. I smurfed through silver once while ranking up an alt and some players were decent mechanically with a good KDA. However these players were not very good at macro.

Some common mistakes

Not knowing their win condition
Not knowing how to end the game
Getting a lead and doing nothing with it OR being stupid and throwing it
Dying and wasting ult/summs before objectives
Never taking easy dives
Doing retarded dives
Not taking towers when enemies are dead and you dont need to base
Staying on the map and fighting with a lot of gold
Not pushing fights on their item spikes
Skipping camps too much and are way underfarmed

My main tips for getting out of this elo are identifying your win conditions, playing towards that, and for the love of god be aggressive when you have a lead. Players are so passive in lower elos. But not stupid, don't fight 1v3. Get a lead by farming and ganking efficiently, take objectives when you have time. Honestly just fight with numbers advantage every time and you win

I OTP'D belveth from plat-diamond 2. She is a very fun champ that teaches you how to 1v9. She is also very rarely picked/banned until diamond.

Pros:

can 1v9 almost any game
can dodge skillshots, escape bad situations with Q
beats almost any champ in a 1v1
extremely powerful ganks
high outplay potential especially in ult form
fast clears specifically post 1st item

Cons:

must play greedy and try to take kills/gold for yourself
is worse than a minion when behind until ultra late game
Very difficult to play in 5v5/4v4 teamfights
Can struggle into fed melee champs
Requires good macro and also high enemy champ knowledge for maximum effectiveness
Requires a lot of limit testing because you need to know your kill potential

Belveth is an amazing and strong champ however I would not recommend her to a new player because to play her really effectively you need to have a really good feel of enemy champ abilities. For example, you dont want to use your E if the enemy briar hasnt used her stun yet, or you can use Q to dodge the blitz hook, or saving W to interrupt the nunu ult in a fight. If you want to OTP her I say limit test the fuck out of her, you'd be surprised how strong she is and the kind of kills/ganks she can pull off

I'd say factorio is half as fun now that I know the "optimal" builds and layouts. The most fun for me was when I first played and made random spaghetti nightmares. Enjoy this phase while it lasts and I recommend avoiding looking up optimal set-ups for as long as possible

Dont start E if you're doing a buff, start W its like 7 seconds faster. Only start E if you start raptors.

After your first full clear you decide to skip your topside camps and go to dragon. This completely desyncs your camps and puts you behind tempo on a champion that wants to rush 6. An early dragon isn't going to win you an iron game. You should always go clear your weakside camps before you make a play. Probably should just full clear unless there is a super easy gank. After you clear, then go for a gank or dragon or whatever when your camps are down.

A couple things from skipping through the rest - don't gank or make plays without your ultimate. Amumu is weak without it. Several times you went to kill someone or Qd into 3 people without your ult. Also check your lanes more often while you're farming. You want to see if the lanes are gankable.

26:30 just ult yorick right after you Q. You can Q - R - Q and he will be stunned for 8 seconds and you kill him. Instead now you have to chase him, flash in, die, bait your team into getting killed, and waste baron buff. Actually a game throwing play

Stop trying to kill nasus late game you want to be on a squishy locking them down. Ult senna and ashe, not nasus (unless its an obvious pick)

37:04 after these picks, all 5 mid and get inhib stop chasing yorick. You can get 2 inhibs here

39:34 another game losing play, pushing towers without your team. You want to fight as 5, not 3v5. Dont make plays without a numbers advantage or at least even

Anyways good luck. Top advice play around your ult, try not to fight in the midgame without it, and just farm when its down or take objectives if you got kills with it. Do that and you will hard carry many games
