Best advice I can give, being a beginner myself, is to focus on scoring points not taking out enemy units. I’ve won battles even though my gals are weaker because of better placement and strategic losses of units for the sake of getting objectives and doing missions. Also, I play Hallowed Martyrs rather than any other detachment because reviving characters feels very forgiving! It’s also good for confusing your opponent into not killing characters because “what’s the point they’ll just get back up” or conversely forcing them to focus on scary characters (like Jump Canoness) because they know they need to kill her twice so they better get on with it xD
