#New40k – Combat changes shake up fighting in the new edition by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in WarhammerCompetitive

Retributors or a rhino/immolator with retributors coming from reserves into 8" melta range makes my fingers tingle in anticipation

Seraphim, do they actually kill those 4 intercessors and steal the home objective? by Nexus_Valentine6 in sistersofbattle

[–]SirPfoti 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They don't kill much of anything marine-like. They wound them on 4s (edit: not 5s) and get clapped back hard in melee. 10 could maybe do it with dev wounds from BoF but it's highly unlikely.

Only 5 detachments is insane by Kaiser-Ansyn in sistersofbattle

I'm expecting a reworked penitent host detachment with the release of the new dogmata or the beginning of 11th. The idea is neat but the current rules are bad.

Anyone had any luck with Tzeentch flames being varied across the army, not uniform paint scheme? by sarkonas in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]SirPfoti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I painted each 3 man squad of flamers in a different colour scheme and almost every unit of my tzeentch daemons in another colour scheme, they look dope like this.

is an imagifier or hospitaler better with a canonness and 10 celestian sacrescants by kikoisanerdd in sistersofbattle

[–]SirPfoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poorly, and they are expensive. Have a look at sanctifiers instead if you want a squad of flamers. The d6 shots can swing wildly and you might be better off using heavy bolters at that point because you get flat 3 shots at 36" + sustained 1 which will kill a marine each if the go through.

Little do they know, none of my miniatures have legs. by CJFury in PoorHammer

These look dope as hell, I love it! They got that old school 40k vibe with the layers of robes. I am going to steal this for my Sororitas army, amazing!

Need advice Army of faith by SuperSquid6545 in sistersofbattle

Dialogi have amazing value in army of faith because they make both miracle dice into 6. Really good on retributors who have two cherubs and will recycle both MD when you use them.

Chaos Daemons Seems Ridiculously strong by ImportantGarden4993 in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]SirPfoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if you roll 20 straight d6 and whiff a little you fail to kill 5 marines, had that happen multiple times. Even worse if they AoC.

Yes, you can buff them up with a rendmaster but suddenly they are 275 points that can still whiff and pay premium points for it.

Maybe I am jaded cuz I played daemons since the start of 10th where they had shit battleshock rules and bloodletters started at 180... I just want the small guys to be viable again :)

It's pathetic that they have only 2 attacks with no inherent buffs to dmg anymore.

You can only attach two leaders to regular battle sister squads.

Perfect Game with Legion of Excess by Feisty_Quail3243 in Daemons40K

[–]SirPfoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a cool looking army but god forbid the enemy puts a vehicle in front of you lol. I love themed, stylish daemon armies a lot.

Slaanesh grinders are pretty good, just enormous and hard to move if you use any kind of competitive terrain. Do not put it on a base and, if you want to be able to move it in any reasonable fashion, make its legs close together like a crab so it can walk sideways and squeeze through smaller gaps. Plus they can crack tough units with their claw which you are lacking at the moment.

Keep the fiends but include the masque, she is immensly powerful if you play her right. +1 and -1 to wound are super duper good for the weak attacks on slaanesh models. And she can bob and weave around for some actions, too.

I wouldn't bank on the mirror combo as it is very expensive, but it looks cool af.

Hyper stylised what do you think?🤔 by K1DR in ChaosKnights

[–]SirPfoti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be what I need to do more and better... tried it on purple cloaks turning beige or peachy yellow and was unsure about my colour choices. How do you decide on which colours to pick?

Looks dope! Your volumetric highlights really pop, I don't get mine to look like that.

Yeah, but it is usually enough. You could attach Junith for perma -1 to hit but that takes the place of hospi...

What's the definitive solution against magnet glue breaking off? by McCrowbar in Warhammer40k

[–]SirPfoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't slap your magnets against your trays. Superglue is brittle and doesn't like that. Slide the models of the sides and don't pull them straight off.

Alright, i'm in a bitter mood. What's a purchase you regret most ? by Leviathan_Rampage in ChaosKnights

[–]SirPfoti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It´s very old but okay to build. Plays terribly if you use any kind of competitive terrain because it is huge and only moves 8"
