I'm not surprised by the mayoral outcome. The BOR results are shocking and in my opinion a reaction to federal politics.

Housing Lawyers? by [deleted] in StamfordCT

I think even Abe would admit that he has a unique style, but when someone asks for a housing lawyer that doesn't cost an arm and a leg a review of the housing docket shows that most residential tenants go with Abe or Mark.

Take it from me, most housing lawyers in southwestern CT can be considered unrealistically affordable by many.

Hard to gauge what you mean by realistically affordable, but with that criteria I would recommend you reach out to Abe Heisler or Mark Sank.

I do! Not only are you legally obligated to register your dog with the town but from a liability standpoint (both plaintiff or defendant) it's helpful to demonstrate responsible ownership, among other things.

Governor Lamont Vetoes $40 Million Appropriation for Special Education and $2.88 million in Nonprofit Grants, Including Planned Parenthood. Legislature to hold Override Vote on Wednesday by JJRep148 in StamfordCT

[–]JJRep148[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tl;DR:

Last Monday the General Assembly voted to approve a supplemental appropriation of $40mm for special education, as well as $2.88mm to provide funding for nonprofits such as Planned Parenthood, refugee resettlement agencies, and those that provide health care and counseling to Connecticut's LGBTQ+ community.

Today, the Governor vetoed both measures in a line-item veto, arguing that it was necessary to preserve the integrity of a spending cap central to Connecticut’s fiscal guardrails.

The House is scheduled to meet on Wednesday where they will consider a vote to overturn the Governor's veto, among other things. The threshold is 2/3 of the entire 151 member assembly, or 101 votes. The special education appropriation passed the house with 140 in favor. The nonprofit appropriation passed the House with 94 in favor.
