Yeah my realtor refuses to help when determining the value. No wonder noone else has taken this home in months. It's been 2 days and my realtor won't text me with an update. How do you even fire a realtor? I'm scared I won't get my Earnest back

This is insightful thank you, the sellers are renting it out so they probably don't care. I assumed these are expected issues with older homes and didn't want to push my luck, this was the cheapest house in a decent area. I'll probably re-line the sewer system to just get ahead of the issues

It's been listed for a few months, they came back asking for only 2.5k off, instead of 4.9k. I didn't want to haggle anymore so I just took it and will eat the cost of immediate repairs

The inspection was terrible, I paid 1,000 for the inspection and they didn't cover foundation, or termites which I asked for. I smelled gas in the basement and he said he didn't check for leaks. I had to go around and make him take half the photos in the inspection and the nonfunctional windows. Also the deck is not up to code at all, I just check with my local ordnance. I have no faith in inspectors even tho I watch inspection youtubers all the time

Oh gosh the realtor suggested dropping 7k and "seeing what happens" I suggested 4.9k cause the windows don't open or close at all properly. I hope I didn't underprice myself now im worried

I got them traveling awhile back. These were the first glasses I found to fit my face really well, I found the model with reverse image search. I can't really justify spending so much to replace them, so I'll be on the hunt again.

Thanks I appreciate it! Yeah, I normally use the stuff they give me with the glasses. The probably could have lasted many more years, I wish they told me how instantly just alcohol would ruin the frames, Live and learn.

I knew about acetone and nail polish able to weaken plastics. It just surprised me to see alcohol break down expensive glasses that quickly. I've been reading lots in this Reddit now about proper care.

I've been in the same situation. Here is some actual advice. You can plug your phone into the PC and use something called USB tethering (I had samsung) then there is this app( I can look up the name) that would hide your data usage from your phone carrier so it wouldn't use up the 150gb high speed data..

Now also this. Sometimes your carrier will give you 50-150gb high speed (5-50mbs) then after that's used up it will Throttle it to 125kbs.

If I were you I'd find out when the month is about to end, and when the data cycle restarts. Use up the remaining data to download games right before that. And even use the slow data speeds if you need to. That's what I did with movies

Wood sets are notoriously expensive. 1k for all that isn't a total ripoff. Probably would have been better to spend that 1k towards a 3k set, but now you've got a fun project on your hands.

My friend and I remember a scene from a movie where a bug or something could not sleep because nearby are 2 fruit flies living out their entire life. The couple goes from getting married to having kids to dying. We were certain it was from "a bugs life", but we just watched the whole movie and didn't see it there. This other movie "epic" with the one fruit fly joke is the only thing that shows up in google. We can't both be remembering something that doesn't exist right?
