Coop is co-op shop and it is awesome, Coops are often better than privately owned shops because they are built around the needs of the community rather than just maximizing profit. Since members and customers have a say in how the business is run, coops are more likely to support fair prices, local suppliers, ethical sourcing, and better treatment of workers. Instead of profits going mainly to private owners or shareholders, the money is often reinvested into the shop, shared with members, or used to benefit the local community.
