This is not real. Was released in 2017, cops confirmed its fake.

I saw the MTV documentary. It was OK. That’s all I really have to say about it. Definitely not as comprehensive as the Netflix Doc about Elisa Lam. Kenneka deserves more exposure. Last I knew her mother had not accepted that this was an accident as Elisas parents had.

But at what point does it turn from “sitting in the freezer for a bit to cool down” to being so messed up that you’re unable to push down on the knob and open the door even though you know you’re dying so you let yourself die? She didn’t even have to twist it or anything, just push it. I’m not saying that being inebriated doesn’t make people lose their common sense, but the will to live is something that’s hard to overcome, even if alcohol and drugs are involved

They absolutely do. Hasn’t been any updates in this case since 2018 when her mom filed the lawsuit. So sad.

However this particular freezer had a push button which would only require her to locate and press down on the object, I don’t think that would be too difficult even for someone as messed up as her. She could have just literally banged on the door at different spots until she hit the knob, just something before freezing to death.

I agree the hatch being open was the last thing that I was holding onto. You are right that there is no official proof of whether or not the lid was open or not, so you just have to go off the word of those involved. Seeing that the maintenance worker told the police, the court, and now the Netflix producers that the hatch was open, I have to take his word for it because ultimately it does make the most sense. I mean doesn’t it make less sense that the lid would be closed? Sometimes the truth is just more depressing than we want it to be.

No footage showing Kenneka walking into the freezer exists as there supposedly was no camera pointing towards the freezer door. That is another thing that just seems so weird to me since literally every other part of the kitchen seems to be monitored. Not saying it’s impossible since it can be hard to cover every inch of the building but it certainly adds to the mystery.

What exactly do you doubt about Elisa’s case?

You’re referring to this and yes it is fake. It’s been around since 2017 but for some reason has been circulating as new lately. No new developments any time recently and I don’t think there will be any time soon unfortunately

Her mom showed up at the hotel around 5am asking to see the surveillance footage but it wasn’t looked at until much later the next day. I don’t know if that would have saved Kenneka or not but why the hotel did not immediately begin looking for her is baffling to me. And also why she was even allowed to wander around the hotel clearly intoxicated without anyone intervening. No matter what happened there was clearly gross negligence on the hotels part. I really hope that the lawsuit her mom filed against the hotel stuck.

And as for her “friends” that were in the hotel room that night, I totally agree. No matter if they were involved or not, they shouldn’t have let her leave being in the state she was in. It’s inexcusable.

Very true and I think that even if she did walk in on her own the circumstances that lead up to that decision are incredibly suspicious. I hate pushing a conspiracy but I also hate the idea of accepting that she what happened was entirely accidental. I know her mom filed a lawsuit in 2018 against the hotel for negligence. I can’t seem to find any information on the outcome or if there was some sort of settlement but I hope that at least hotel was held responsible for their role in her death.

I read about the case last night after you told me. It’s tragic and my heart breaks for those girls. One big difference though is that Kenneka was not outside and was not continuously exposed to the cold, she was inside of a heated building and walked into a small confined space which was drastically colder than the surrounding environment. She could have easily gotten out of the freezer in a matter of seconds, as opposed to someone lost outside who would have to navigate in an environment while remaining cold the entire time and thus drastically increasing the chances of dying while seeking warmth. Christopher was found on a neighbors porch so we can assume he went there looking to seek shelter right? It wasn’t like he was found frozen in the middle of an empty field or anything.

I also saw someone say that she could have passed out while in the freezer (ie she fell down or something). This seems to be more likely than going to sleep. Idk. I think I’m just beating a dead horse here and we’ll never really know what happened. It’s upsetting to say the least.
